Farscape, Stargate, fandom, and the SG1 200th episode -- I've got a couple of things I want to say before the thing airs. So, you know, spoilers. This homage is a gift, and however it turns out, nobody is going to convince me that it's not given in love, or, at the very least, respect. But, definitely love from Ben and Claudia. It's hella sweet, they didn't have to do it, and I'm totally touched by it.

Amen, amet.
I'm looking forward to watching.

yeah, homage... but then many people don't really know what that is do they? "This script was stolen from here, that sight gag from there, can't they do anything original?" There is nothing new under sun or moon, just variations on a theme. This one potentially could be very successful, perhaps even legend. Or not. I trust the actors and writers to provide me with their take on their material, and then it is up to me to decide if I like it or not. But they don't "Owe" me anything. Artistic endevours are not simply a product, for the consumption of the audience, they are also a creation, for an artist's happiness. When the two combine in the right way, it is magic. If not, than not... There is often still some amusement to be had.
That's the way I look at it anyway... /rhetorical wandering...
