Felt

 Thanks for all of the responses on what color you think of when you think of a piece of felt.

My explanation for asking is this.  I always, always think of green.

I don't know why.  It's in my hardwiring.  I can't find the point of origin.  I have thought about it, searching way back into my memory.  I just can't figure out why.  I figured there ( Read more... )

To me, the word "felt" brings to mind the term "beaver felt hat", a cowboy hat made of bezver hairs. To "felt" (according to wikipedia) is "a non-woven cloth that is produced by matting, condensing and pressing fibers." And a beaver is brown. Therefore, I think of brown felt.

I just remember cutting felt for little church/home/school projects during my early years and when I tried to think of a specific memory, a red piece of felt showed up first. I can't remember a specific project I did with it, but I do know that I have used it before.

Nothing all that deep, I just remembered that I needed to pick up some white felt for my alcohol ink applicator. So, I did.
