HE'S SO CUTE ~thelovemafiaOctober 29 2008, 01:55:42 UTC
*dies laughing* You know I would never blame you for anything, dearheart. It's all credit. *wink*
Thank you! You are such a sweetheart. I was trying out several styles of making icons of him, and then I realised the one that captured the moe best was the EXTREME close-up. ♥
I HAD NO IDEA THERE WAS SO MUCH KAITO FANART *____* OR THAT SO MUCH OF IT WAS SO GOOD!
You are not surprised because you know me so well, Adi! XDDDD!!! I actually rec'd Idoru before - it's my Millefiore/data junkie/cyberpunk Tokyo literature fix. ♥ It is a great and immensely fun book, though. It reminded me of a very trippy version of Johnny's Entertainment fandom, Livejournal, and j!fandom as a whole. So naturally when I saw Vocaloid and wanted to make a post, Idoru came straight to mind

You zoomed in on his eyes, and that's the cutest part :D
The thing about Vocaloid fandom is that the fandom IS the canon. Aside from one or two sample songs, all the works are by fans, so all the running gags about how Kaito is a maniac for ice cream etc are entirely made up by the fans. And so many people participate and make songs, music videos of other people's work, parodies, and who knows what else, that the amount and variety in what's there is really impressive. Plus it's often done in styles that people wouldn't dare use for mainstream anime ^^
For example, one of the most famous Kaito songs is Cheating Fighter Urotanda, which is a parody of typical sentai theme songs in which Kaito extols the merits of fighting dirty to get your way. "All that matters is if we win." Then someone made an answer song, in a way, called "This is Our Justice" in which another Vocaloid, Meiko, sings about how power is meaningless without justice. And there's actually a whole series of videos building off that about Justice's tragic battle against

you always say TLDR! ;) "to love: do read?" XDDDthelovemafiaOctober 29 2008, 15:46:46 UTC
(naw, I know what it means. BUT FOR YOU IT HAS A DIFFERENT MEANING~)
His eyes are the cutest part of him! I don't seem to know this consciously, all I know is that when I make icons, I just keep going until I like what I see. "Not enough cute. Not enough cute. AH! Exactly the right amount of cute!"
The thing about Vocaloid fandom is that the fandom IS the canon. GREAT PLACE TO BE IN, EH? ;)
all the running gags about how Kaito is a maniac for ice cream etc are entirely made up by the fans. *CHOKES AND DIES LAUGHING* That is so cute! Fanon, in every sense of the word! ;)
I love the story about Kaito's sentai theme song! THIS IS OUR JUSTICE kind of makes me SMILE A LOT. :D :D :D *is made happy*
omebody made a very technically amazing and also extremely traumatizing PV for the Urotander video You make me so very curious, and as a result I may now stumble into about ten or more traumatising videos just to see if I've found the right one

XDXDXD Thank you ♥ Although! Hibari might disagree with me. ;)
BUT REALLY THE HEDGHOG REMINDS ME OF HIM; only he is less sweet, and I am not sure about his fashion sense, as it seems to run to the trend of NANIMORI ARMBAND.
I didn't have any idea of who he was either, I had to be told! ;) It's not blasphemy at all, and even if it is, we can be blasphemers together ;)
He's Kaito from Vocaloid. ;) So cute. ♥ There is an unbelievable amount of fanart for him in existence.
I am also time-poor and Japanese-handicapped! XD It's actually a singing software: he's a voice that comes with a character, and you type words in and he will sing them. ;)
LIKE MAKING THE BAND, JAPANESE VIRTUAL REALITY STYLE.
Tell me about it. I always seem to be chasing after the bandwagon. D| BUT YES, that sounds like something I could easily be obsessed with. It's entirely possible I'd make him swear, make uke sounds and profess his love for the Tenth. XD
*smiles* You know, the bandwagon only exists for you to decide whether or not it's worth getting on. ;) I for one have never come early to any fandom whatsoever, and am happier for it, because of everyone who has paved the way before me (and given me fic to read)!
It's entirely possible I'd make him swear, make uke sounds and profess his love for the Tenth. XD ... WAY TO FIND A WAY STRAIGHT TO MY HEART ♥ But tell me truly, do you like Gokudera/Tsuna as your comment seems to suggest? I'd always pegged you for being along the lines of Hibari/Chrome or Mukuro/Lancia.
*grin*
Or not. ;)
re. icon: he's adorable, isn't he? Not to mention irresistable. ♥

Oh and why am I not surprised that you went and looked up a suitable quote to put in your post XDDD
I never heard of Edward Monkton before but now I see I've been missing out! The one about the frock is hilarious :)

NIISANNNNNN SO CUTE a;lsdkfja;dkfj ♥♥ I totally thought at first that Miku was holding up a cellphone, snapping a slightly stalker-ish photo of Kaito

AND I NEVER KNEW THERE WAS SO MUCH GOOD VOCALOID FANART IN EXISTENCE BEFORE THIS, EITHER!
XDDDDD!! CELLPHONE IS A GOOD BET, TOO. If I were her I just might be doing the same thing! ♥
SO CUTE, INNIT? I want to take him home. And dunk him in my coffee.

It was because of all the amazing fanart that I started wondering what the heck they were from :D
LOL AND EAT HIM FOR BREAKFAST ♥♥

XDDDDD MINE IS VICE-VERSA, "Oh it's so cute! WAIT, YOU MEAN THERE'S FANART?!"
I WOULD TOTALLY EAT HIM FOR BREAKFAST. ♥ Sprinkle him ALL OVER my cornflakes.
