As I was wandering through the unchartered corridors of the TARDIS this morning, I came upon a full-length mirror. (I mean that in the sense of "found", incidentally. It's rather depressing to be forced by the hoi polloi to censor oneself in order to avoid the gutters of their minds.) It has been some time since I took a good look at myself in the ( Read more... )

I will say one thing, Doc. You are the sanest one of the bunch. And I respect the non-shagging stance you have.

You realize that Five has now shagged more than I have?

That's almost sad.

Anyway...tea and cake?

Yes, we know about your coping mechanisms.

How is Splinx doing?

Oh, fine. Cuddly, purr-y, addicted to the Smiths courtesy of the TARDIS.

Oh, well, the Smiths are quite good. And it's nice to hear Splinx is such a happy, personable cat.

Well, he has Peri as well as myself, so he feels quite secure. He likes sitting on my feet while I watch television. It obliges me to waste valuable time on bad drama series that could be used for better things, but it's worth the sacrifice.

What sort of bad drama series?

*looks suspicious*

You don't watch Buffy, do you?

*pink*

A bit...

There's also a terrible but compulsive thing called "Blake's Seven". The acting and dialogue are dreadful and the sets clearly cost fivepence, to say nothing of the effects, but it's oddly enjoyable.

Blake's...Seven?

*clears throat* Never seen that one myself.

And I don't see how you can watch Buffy either. Teenagers with raging hormones fighting strange beings--don't you get that enough with Peri?

Actually, Peri is a remarkably interesting and intelligent young lady. And I fail to see what her hormones have to do with anything.

*raises eyebrows, smirking slightly*

Have you noticed how much time she's been spending with Turlough lately? At least it keeps him from cross-stitching.

Oh...

Well, I'm sure she knows what she's doing.

*worries*

Apprently he looks quite good in her underwear.

*sighs heavily*

He's Turlough. He can't.

Peri seems to think he does.

You really might want to have a talk with her, you know...

She gets quite aggressive if I try, and immediately goes and does something deliberately extreme.

Are they all like that? Have we ever travelled with anyone... straightforward?

*shudder* I think I've seen her in her extremity. It's quite frightening.

Ben was fairly straightforward. Jamie's remarkably straightforward. Wasn't Barbara fairly easy to understand?
