Jan 17, 2012 17:09

Since 1999, LiveJournal has been a safe harbor of self-expression and creativity, with the most substantial privacy policies of any social site. We believe the Internet must remain a place that is free to use, free to explore, and free to express.

LJ is treating people like sh*t ! 0_lechim January 19 2012, 17:44:33 UTC
Touché!

To quote one of the official representatives of livejournal - we, livejournal users, are... and I quote - "LEMINGS"(q).

They way LJ treats its costummers is beneath market economy.

"without the normal due process of law. "
- - -
Livejournal is hidding behind the fact that it is very hard to make a class action suit towards it,
and at the same time they are trying to talk about "rule of law" ?!!?!?

Livejournal is an insult to cosumer rights,
and has played every dirty trick there is NOT to adress the issues were they have cheated me and thouthands of other customers.

I makes me GLAD that there is finally someone who can show livejournal that it is NOT god, it can NOT treat people like sh*t.

Thank you. Thank you so much. I don't want LJ to be gone, or else no more reason to go home early. ^^

I you try to write "lj.ru" instead,
you will see even larger , more developped site than livejournal.com
But why? why wouldn't they tell you that OBVIOUS and necessay piece of information, if they (livejournal.com) wanted to be OBJECTIVE, instead of lies and propaganda?

I and many others have paid for accounts. Accounts that are paid for had certain services. This services do not work properly due to a new design, but LJ is not compensating users for that.
But LJ takes it a step further!
They have a nerve to appeal to public as if they were the good natured friends of their customers. That is simply outrageous !

on top of it, Look at what they wrote:
"taken down without any way for LiveJournal to address or correct the issue."

That is a lie. They can adress by rederecting via lj.ru

You can also blackout your journals, better yet write your nationals U.N rep and ask them to protest these asks, SOPA and PIPA basically mean that if someone feels their copyright is violated by any site in any nation internationally can be taken down without due process or blocked from U.S users seeing it by U.S internet providers even if the site does remain up. For sites that sell things like, ETSY, EBay, etc this could be disastrous as a large percentage of their profits come from overseas sales ( ... )

These are my suggestions, for what they're worth.

Petition the State Department

Read ACTA (No, you can't do much with it other than read it, but HEY, information is good.

Fight for the Future may have better ideas.

I've heard it been suggested that people from outside the USA also write into Congress. Make them understand that they're pissing off EVERYONE.
