Cheerleaders are there to encourage writers, artists, and participating betareaders (because betareading fifteen thousand words means sometimes you'll need encouragment). We expect this challenge to be a lot of fun for everyone, and cheerleaders are the people who sign up to help make it even more so

yes. but other things too; squeeing over canon and/or pairing, helping with research, doing funny dances, talking you down from the edge when you're about to quit the challenge because you just spent 3 hours trying to make the same five word sentence make sense and failed.

pretty much anything an author needs but doesn't want to bother their betas with.

I admit I haven't read most of the books for a long time and I don't remember if I still have them but I do remember the characters and stuff), sg-1, whoverse (I haven't watched the old Doctor Who episodes). I would happily be a cheerleader for any of the smaller fandoms on this list.
