Since I never post to LJ anymore, I'm going to try and change the way that I update. So here's my first stab at point form blathering and linking to various things that make me happy right now. Maybe this will lead to me updating more ( Read more... )

I stopped watching American Idol a long time ago. I guess I got sick of hearing what the judges had to say (good or bad), and I really can't stand how much they focus on the bad auditions in the beginning of each season. I'm not into drama. But I do love to hear good singers sing, and I sometimes wish I did still watch. Guess there's always next season.

Anyway, I'm really just commenting to say that the video w/ the guy giving tips for a bad date is great! The last one... that phone call, hahaha! Love it!

This was my first and only season watching. You should watch some of Adam Lambert's performances on youtube. You'll see what kept me watching. :)

Haha yeah, he's got a bunch of videos and they're all funny but that one is my favourite!

First of all, yay for updating!! This is always encouraged.

Secondly, the people that run Wonderland also run Cedar Point? Didn't know that, but awesome! I totally wish I was going this year.

Thirdly, yay for Adam Lambert! I think my top three AI finalists pretty much match up with yours. I was bummed when Allison went home because I thought she and Adam would be shoo-ins for the finals. Just like I thought Adam was a shoo-in winner. :-\ Not that I have a problem with Kris winning - a far better choice than some of the other finalists...

Fourthly, I miss you!

Cedar Fair bought Wonderland from Paramount about a year ago, so now they're part of the same company. :) Come visit me and we'll go! Cedar Point is only 2 hours from Windsor!!!

Plus Adam and Allison are super-adorable together. If she wasn't so young and he wasn't so gay, I'd be rooting for them as a couple!! But I guess you haven't heard the AI controversy - I just heard this on the radio yesterday. Apparently Adam might be AI after all. AT&T provided technology to fans at the Kris events in Arkansas that allowed them to "power-text." They did NOT provide the same technology to the Adam events in California! And, of course, Kris got like 31 million votes from his home state and they're credited with giving him the win so....CONTROVERSY!!
