There oughta be a law that says TV networks can't cancel a show AFTER they've already wrapped up filming for the season.  TPTB at the networks should be required to tell the show producers they need to wrap up the storylines in the last episode...  AND NOT END THE WHOLE SERIES ON A FRAKING CLIFFHANGER....!!!!

I'M TALKING TO **YOU**, SYFY CHANNEL ( Read more... )

This is a post of awesome.
And yes, I agree if a series is a storyline, they need to know if it is going to get cancelled.

Of course... IRONY the one time they do that, with Babylon 5, JMS wne Oh... ok... no 5th season uhhhh shorten the war then.

And then they told him had a 5th season (everyone wonder why the 5th season drags and the fourth feels rushed, that's why).

I've concluded studios are just dicks.

Yea, I was a B5 fan, and remember well what happened with S4 and S5. But at least we knew what happened, even if it wasn't quite the way JMS wanted to tell it.

Nu-BSG is kinda the same way. RDM wanted another season to finish the story, but SF channel wouldn't guarantee it, so he had to wrap it up in one season. The final season was my least favorite (probably because of all that), but at least we got a resolution.

I wish I could say the same for shows like Firefly. *sigh*
