All you have to do is copy the code on the Youtube page where it says "Embed" and then put it in the post. For future reference.

Eee heee, I just asked for a ficcy! XD

BTW, I went to my LCS and picked up the first trade of Death Note. (Note: do they still call them trades if they're manga?) If I hate it I'm coming for your ass. Biznatch. ;)

While I would question that particular phrase for describing a piece of fiction, yes, yes you can. :D

OMG another fan of dubs? I thought I was the last remaining member of a dying kind!

This of course means we need to procreate for the sake of our species.

Also, when I say 'last remaining', I actually mean 'only one ever'.

YOU ARE TOTALLY NOT ALONE!

YES! And we'll obviously have to keep on trying until we adapt to lesbian reproduction like the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park...

FANTASTIC~ Nobody else ever seems to get it when I tell them about how much context I feel is lost in terms of emphasis and tone when the characters are speaking a language I can't comprehend. ;-;

Will we lay eggs? :O

It's okay, I've done the same thing. :D

I will warn you now, in vagueness, that Another Note is a prequel to the manga. But it is still awesome, and is basically The Adventures of L and Naomi.

I agree. I don't actually think its anything between dubbed and subbed, I'm learning in social psychology class right now that people naturally latch on to whatever it is that they're used to. Therefore, if you saw the dubbed first, you tend to prefer the dubbed if you hear the sub later; vice versa applies, of course. I know its totally true with me, but I don't tend to prefer either over the other. :3

I've always heard that it's what we're exposed to first, but if that were the case with me, I'd prefer subs. All my favorite series, I did see the subs first, but once I watch the dubs, I prefer those. It has a lot to do with the simple fact that I can't determine tone and inflection in any language save for English.

Haha, I might like them evenly for odd reasons, mainly because I speak an Asian language myself (so I'm used to hearing it so therefore I like subs) but I read English the best, so I like dubs as well. XD I agree though, I also really dislike the people that you mentioned above that instantly bash a dub before it even comes out or look at you strangely if you say that you like a dub. There are some animes that are dubbed VERY well and I've heard them in both English and Chinese. :3

Sorry if my grammar's off in my post, I don't feel too alive today, lol.

Languages and I just aren't friends. :D Hell, I can barely speak English properly half the time! But it's much easier for me to follow things in English, where I can be certain of tone and inflection and all those little subtleties of speaking.

No worries! :D
