This Life +10 was fab. All the newspaper reviews implying otherwise were clearly written by people who hated the original, and indeed 'fucking metrosexuals'.
I never thought I'd react to two hot blokes dancing together by going "Nooo! Don't do it! No! Don't kiss!!!" But in 1941, in public, when OtherJack has to lead his men the next day?

Hey there - wondering if you didn't get my text message from two days or so back? I was wondering if you'd like to come over (accompanied or not) for dinner and games next week, say T (which might also be BU day, so perhaps that instead), W, or Th?
And apologies for not going out, I wasn't good for people and wound up staying home.

If you would also like a visit from me, I am free on Thurday next week at the mo. but away in Cambridge this weekend. Anyway, it would be lovely to see you and your new place at some point.
I didn't see any reviews prior to This Life + 10 so got to watch it unspoilered and with no expectations. I liked it, it made me laugh a fair few times although I did WTF at Miles's haircut (or should I say wig?).
I haven't watched the Torchwood, kimble and windiain did before I got home and were suitably scathing about it. I may bother to watch it and probably should do so for continuity wossnames.
My understanding is that actually, in wartime, this behaviour was sort of tolerated, in a very British embarassed silence + averted eyes + and subsequently never talked about way - which was exactly what happened onscreen!
But 'making a spectacle of yourself' in the middle of the dance floor has never been tolerated by Brits! I suppose with the rift appearing and OurJack vanishing, the onlookers would probably assume the entire dance was a mass hallucination, but the Jacks didn't know that was going to happen.
And since when does pencil or ink not last 70 years?????
Probably since the time that blood stays red for the same period instead of going brown. Doesn't everybody know what messages written in blood actually look like? Oh dear - maybe it's just me.
Ianto gives the impression that he might be able to act should he be required to do anything other than brood and look wooden
Oh, you're not being fair there: Ianto has three modes, not two! As well as brooding and looking wooden, he can do cod-hysterical too. You can tell when he's doing that one because he screws up his eyes and talks in an irritating shriek. He was doing it just the same when he was about to shoot Owen and when wossername the semi-Cyberwoman died. It's really quite unappealing.
The best moment was shooting Owen
Yes! When it happened I said I liked how guns work in Torchwood - if you get shot it really hurts. But alas he didn't bloody die, which I was heartily hoping.

I did get the text (yesterday, it takes a while on NYE) but need to check my work diary tomorrow.
Thurs could be good, but also I'm free this weekend if you (+J and/or W) were interested in some gaming or something?

Saturday evening is currently open but I might have just signed up for drinks with meico, so will need for the dust to settle a bit on that.

Of course, most viewers wouldn't know this, so...
