TV reviews

This Life +10 was fab. All the newspaper reviews implying otherwise were clearly written by people who hated the original, and indeed 'fucking metrosexuals'.

Torchwood, on the other hand...

WTF?????

I never thought I'd react to two hot blokes dancing together by going "Nooo! Don't do it! No! Don't kiss!!!" But in 1941, in public, when OtherJack has to lead his men the next day???

And since when does pencil or ink not last 70 years?????

Owen can't act, while Ianto gives the impression that he might be able to act should he be required to do anything other than brood and look wooden at Owen. The best moment was shooting Owen, because let's fact it, that's what everyone wanted.

And wtf regarding that group cohesion, and why isn't Jack telling anyone except Gwen about not being killable, nor anything in his past?
First rule of management: communicate with your staff. Something. Occasionally. At least. God knows why Owen bothered coming back. Or why any of them stayed after that.

And then the vigil and the 'gets revived with a kiss', being able to speak seconds later, after spending days as a corpse (but mysteriously not going off despite it being room temperature, so you'd think one of them might have thought he wasn't dead...) Makes you wonder how much quicker he'd have recovered if Ianto had given him a wank.

If only EastEnders had the eye candy, I'd be watching that for wittier dialogue and more plausible plots.
RTD, as Amy Jenkins isn't doing any more This Life now, get her in to give you a script and plot. Daniela Nardini joining Torchwood is optional.
