It was almost like a maze, trying to get out of the Nexus, but the king walked forward, in near silence, Minnie's hand held firmly in his own. Through varying streets, hallways, directions, lights, and darkness, he walked forward, almost as if knowing the paths between the worlds by heart. "I'm fine; just a little shaken," she assured him. "What about you?" Mickey didn't often lose his temper (at least, not when she was around), but from the looks of things he'd been coming close to it during the confrontation with Axel. At the very least, the young man knew which of her king's buttons to push.

"I'm so sorry," he shook his head, quietly, kneeling in front of Minnie and taking one of her dainty hands into both of his. "I don't know how you ended up in that horrible place, but.. I'll search the castle, and see if I can't ward it so that you won't be placed in such danger, again." This, of course, potentially meant the king would no longer be able to travel between his world and the nexus, directly. He would have to find an alternate route, and that.. would require a lot more ethers. And a lot more of Riku accusing him of ManaBurn.

"I was on my way to the library when I happened upon...that place," Minnie explained. Her eyes widened when he suggested warding off the portal. "But- what about you? How will you get home from that place?" She's not sure she could bear the thought of him indefinately stranded.

"Worry not, Minnie," Mickey smiled, letting out one of his confident giggles. "Where there's a will, there's a way! You know that. So long as your heart wishes for my return, I can follow your light; it will always show me the way back home."
