Awwww~~! So sweet! It really reminded me how same-sex unions, and really marriages in general *actually* were in the middle ages. Political/for monetary benefit at first and then the devotion and admiration slowly grows. (Have you read Same-Sex Unions in Premodern Europe? You should.) Anyway before I have a weird obscure literature dork-fest all over this comment I'll stop.

That is a really nice story. I like the "darker" part at the beginning with Wolframs depressing thinking, an this going to be a lot "brigther" and warmein the end.
