Some of us think bats are cute, I was pleased to discover that the man who wrote & illustrated Bats at the Library feels similarly. Mr. Lies makes sure that the proceeds from his web-winged capers go to benefit the real things that go flap in the night, so I encourage you to check out his books as well!

I discovered by way of a stranger sharing cellphone snapshots on the Internet, then checked it out of the library myself! :)

plus I searched amazon for the book.. might be worth to buy.. and I discovered there is a bats on the beach as well :P

Yay! Yes, there is Bats on the Beach, although what they're doing there I can't imagine, such a local must acquire a special type of comfort in the night hours.

When I was maybe 10, my sister had found a little bat in our attic and she fed it (can't remember if it was a male or a female) because the bat was too weak to fly again (no food in our attic!) It was so cute! :) And then she set it free and we never saw the little bat again!

I need to find this book :).

that was smart of her, it's true, bats usually eat 1/3 their weight in insects EVERY night when they can fly free!
