Second pregnancy musings/birth

I just had those most panic inducing realization. If we do this second pregnancy thing (coming up on two years puts the realization of a second pregnancy as more of a reality instead of a dream) I guess I'm going to have to either make Mike's Mom watch the kids or *start panic attack here* have someone that is not Mike in the delivery room with me.

Since everything was basically planned it wasn't hard to have Mike with me and he literally played music and sang to me. Since we had the c-section he had to wear scrubs and I think he enjoyed that far too much which was also amusing. The idea of having another c-section/VBAC without him singing and dancing is terrifying for me. His Mom might be an okay stand in but I think I wouldn't be able to relax because I'd be worried about her. Though my friend Akiko offered and truth be told? I think I might actually be all right with that.

You would be so welcome because I know you'd do interpretive dance and sing if I asked. You'd also make the best birthing playlist ever. I asked Mike to sing Tugging and Pulling to me to the tune of the Gummi Bears theme song so, uh, for real I might request weird shit when in the middle of labor.

Hey, that's what grandparents are for. or is there some reason Mike's mom isn't an appropriate babysitter? My grandmother took care of me when my mom was in the hospital having my sister.

Oh, Alec was great labor support too, definitely wouldn't want to do it again without him!
