I am technically back to prepregnancy size. I mean I got smaller by a few pounds then after the IUD I shot up about 5-10lbs. I'm pretty sure that was all water weight. And by pretty sure I mean still is

Wearing terry yoga pants right now. I do love my yoga pants. It's more that I'm about to go to work, have to stand for 8 hours, and walking right now makes my legs and feet hurt. I'm wearing comfy shoes when I stand and walk so that's no fun.
What's also no fun is having to spend 8 hours in ill fitting clothes. Which I was doing before I got pregnant. I don't look forward to going back to that. I wish I would have lost all the magical weight everyone swore up and down I'd lose.
Oddly enough that's exactly what I needed to hear.
Don't care if I'm "beautiful" or if I don't "look that big". I just want someone else to know how much it sucks and that I'm throwing a giant pity party. Everyone is invited.
Can you sew at all? Hippie skirts are super, super, super easy to sew. You can even leave the hem as a raw edge, I have a couple like that and it looks cute, just depends on the type of fabric. Basic circle skirts are really easy to adjust for length and fullness, and that's more or less what most hippie skirts are.
I am terrible at sewing. And most of the ones that are breaking are from high school so over 10 years old. Replacing them isn't a bad thing necessarily, just a pain in the ass. The issue also isn't that they're ripping at seams or even vertically. It's all long horizontal rips in the middle of the well worn fabric that I step on and rip even more. So between them being hazardous (tripping on skirt and falling while holding child) and old I should just replace them.
I just don't want to replace them because I am a sad, lazy sack who is CHEAP
That's why I suggested making them, because it doesn't require shopping, AND it's cheaper! I'm not particularly good at sewing, and I made a monster of a circle skirt for bellydance.
I feel you though, I hate shopping for clothes too. There are no jeans in the world that fit me properly :(
Let me put me vs. sewing into perspective for you. I can't work a sewing machine and I am not dedicated enough to hand sew a circle skirt. My friends who can sew say they will and I never see anything made. So I've learned to stop counting on sewing as a viable option.
And jeans that didn't fall of (literally) or squeeze my circumcision scar would be lovely. I'm not even asking for flattering at this point. Just stays on my body and doesn't hurt a LOT.
Yeah, um. I have also lost my baby weight (though it took me longer since I gained like 60 lbs). That puts me at 189 at 5'4, so still obese. Pre-pregnancy I had jeans and a very few tops that fit. So thats what I have now. And people make the dumbest comments.
I would so offer you clothes if I thought I had anything that would help. Also, for giggles I bought three pairs of size 14 pants. I'm now yanking them up but all the 12s I tried on hurt.
Hahaha..fml.
But seriously. I want to know what a woman who has had twins is supposed to look like. Should I be the Jabba the Hutt? If I spoke in a weird half mumbled language while eating everything/one in sight would that make me look like I had twins?
Guh. And we are officially the same size. I fluctuate between 189-194. At 5'4".
Do realize I am not calling you fat or insulting your body when I yell about mine. I just get tired of being told, "It'll go away" when it went away fast fast then CAME BACK. And isn't budging.
But seriously. My hips are bigger and my bust is bigger but otherwise I am the exact size I was prepregnancy. Unless my breasts magically deflate to nothing (hahahahaha yeah okay) after bfing I don't see my body magically changing into something unless I start working out hardcore/eating right.
I like your body but I think mine looks gross. Different proportions - I carry tons of flab around my middle, probably partially because I was an idiot and starved myself when I was younger. And don't worry, I didn't think you were insulting me.
During the year before I got pregnant, I gained 30 lbs. Still trying to figure out how to lose that but I think it would require better eating and more exercise than I'm doing now.
