So uh today we saw "House of D" on TV cuz y'know it was just kind of on.

I think you can tell by the icon exactly who the main character in the movie reminded me of. (If you're following my NaNo anyway, that is.)

I'm having trouble deciding what to do too DX I want to make Nadir, who is more or less a muslim oil baron's son from Saudi Arabia, or Renjiro, who is a yakuza boss' son (or just the son of a yakuza member). Or a kid called Miles Schaarschmidt because I love those names.

This has nothing to do with your post and I don't even know you, but I want to tell you that I am very, very glad to see your posts in those LJ announcement threads. You seem to be one of the few who is able to see the current "lol censorship i haets lj" issue with a clear head. LJ is full of drama mules and they're just using this as another excuse to rage against the machine cause it feels better than actually admitting that LJ doesn't want to get their asses sued.

:)

So yeah. Know that someone, at least, appreciates your posts.

Oh, thank you so much! Every time I post on a news thread I end up getting in some kind of argument with one of those people and I spend all night telling my friends "WHY DO I DO THIS TO MYSELF?!" But I try so hard to keep a level head and stay civil, so I'm really glad somebody appreciates that!

Oh believe me, I do. I am already tired of the knee-jerk reactions plastering my Friends Page. And it's like, shut the hell up already. Most of those people have no idea what they're talking about. I'll bet everyone throwing around legal terms has never even stepped foot in a firm.

All LJ wants to do is ensure they don't get sued. And it's not like these brats can't go to Greatest Journal or something. Why do they just sit and complain?

Some people are just never happy with anything. There was drama over comment editing too and the majority of LJ users have been asking for that function since I first got here (back when we had invite codes). People still raised a huge fuss about it, some of them just because it wasn't the policy update.

I'm being told that it can't be a cover-your-ass move on LJ's part because they're already protected and this just makes it easier to find instead of harder to access, but it is. It's just like rating movies R, or video games M, if kids get access to them and somebody complains then the companies can say, "We put the warning there, it's not our responsibility."
