Wes was walking around. He'd had a pretty good day, considering, and was in kind of a wandery mood. So wander he did.

When his wandering brought him to the second floor, the smell of really really good cookies lured him over to a certain doorway. Seeing Katniss, he knocked gently on the door. "Hello," he said brightly.

"Evening," she said, flashing a small smile Wes' way before waving him in. "Want a cookie? I got a package from home."

"Certainly," he said. Yay cookies! Especially cookies decorated by Peeta because omg pretty! "Thank you."

"Did your mother send these?"

"No," Katniss said with a tiny laugh. "No, my mother doesn't really bake. My friend sent me these. He's the baker's son -- his father probably made them, and Peeta did the decorating."

"You moved," Ben observed from the doorway. "It's because Ender's socks smell, isn't it?"

Katniss, not being known for her sense of humor, had to pause a moment before formulating a reply. "Is that what that smell was? I assumed it was some sort of open sewer."

"No, that was all him," Ben cheerfully slandered. "This is Blysse and Blind Seer's room as well, right?"

"Yes. It's convenient to have my hunting partners in the same room," Katniss said. "And Madison left without much warning, it seems."
