So today was the day that I have long awaited. A day when questions were answered and uncertainty was put to rest. It was the day when I found out that the girl that most especially caught my attention…was dating another guy. It wasn’t a huge surprise. I had once gone through the same thing, where a guy I'd really begun to like came out and told me that he was interested in someone else (I'd had suspicions that he liked me). I guess since they never actually dated, that Hope of Something More never actually died out. And thus, I made the mistake of holding onto it for at least 2 years...and writing about it in my LJ whenever I got upset over it. And then one day, just 3 months ago, it hit me...God never actually promised this guy to me! Why was I putting faith in something God never promised?!
Anywho, I guess you could also take this as God telling you that He's got something so much better. He's definitely capable of creating and bestowing the absolute best. Of course, I probably didn't have to tell you that, since you already seem to know. ^_~

PS - 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 is my favorite passage!!! Yay for including v. 17! ^_^
