Well it's been a great month for challenge entries. I'm so glad people rose to the challenge! And that you for being patient with the few little muddles that happened along the way.

Before I announce the results there is an important matter of business to get out of the way. It has come to the mods attention that an error at the beginning of the ( Read more... )

Congratulations to the winners!

And WOOT! Team Watson made the cut this time - way to go, shufflealong  (formerly eldritchowl )!!!

I shall de-anon for #10: Lestrade = Sherlock's drug dealer.

I'M SO HAPPY TO SEE team_sherlock FIC PLACE, I CANNOT BEGIN TO TELL YOU! myfieldnotes, congratulations and well done. You did your team proud :) Congratulations to shufflealong, too; I absolutely adored your fic.

(I'm vaguely annoyed at placing again, believe it or not, but the good news is: I lost a rather complicated bet regarding my late, dashed-off submission, or it was something like a bet, which means you guys eventually get yet another piece of fabulous smut from gayalondiel.)

The email gambit was brilliant. I was sure it would win, just so humors and quick to do.

Basically, what happened was this: it was the evening of the deadline and I hadn't even thought about it on account of all the various interesting stuff I'm putting up with in RL at the minute, and when I happened to remember the deadline was looming, I was talking to gayalondiel and there was only half an hour left till subs were due. She said she'd write a sequel to A Soldier's Life Is Terribly Hard if I managed to write something and submit it inside half an hour, so I spent fifteen minutes racking my brain and fifteen minutes frantically writing. Hence the amazing Evening Dress fic she wrote. And then, there was also heaped onto it, if my dashed-off entry won, she'd write a third piece. But I vaguely remember telling her that if she placed that must mean I owe her something, too, and she has placed, sure enough!

(Thank you!)

Whoop whoop! I loved all these fics, well done to all winners!

ESPECIALLY shufflealong - GO GO GO TEAM WATSON :D :D :D

I suppose I'll own up to number 19 (John loses his arm in Afghanistan, which ultimately changes nothing!)

Great story! I loved that idea, especially Sherlock's response. You were one of my three.

Oh my goodness, you were my top choice. Not only did you have Sherlock react perfectly (that it didn't matter), but then you gave us a bonus of schmoop at the end. Wonderful!
