I don't agree - watching the marathons on cable, I've found Gideon to be creepier by the minute, and I really don't miss him. But we're all entitled to our opinions; I used to love Elle, but now comparing her (via reruns) I've found she irritates me.

Anyway, I would love to see the solution to the mysteries you've left in E&I; of course I'd survive if you changed your mind, and I'd fill in my own blanks but I'd enjoy seeing how you've worked them out.

Gideon isn't a must-have on the show for me. I never felt like he had to be replaced - there wasn't this impending doom 'piece missing' sense in the handful of episodes between his departure and Rossi's arrival. (Children of the Dark and 7 seconds are both on my top ten list, fyi.) It's just that Rossi is an emotional vaccuum for me.

Aside from the one scene in that episode with the twins I can never remember the name of (because it wasn't one of my favorites), Elle was never a must-have, either.
