I am an ass

Had a wardrobe fitting today at 1:30 and went early hoping I'd be back in time for Kar3n to hand off the ninja when she went too work. She had forgotten her phone again, so we communicated by email. They told me I'd be out in time so I left her a message saying not to bother taking him to Liz's ( Read more... )

Simple. You have great friends who love and support you. When you make enough money, you hire a trained attack nanny with mad ju-jitsu skills, and you have her follow you everywhere with the baby. :) Until then, you have people who will happily take the baby (me, me, me!) and give you the time you need.

:\ I wish I could help you guys. We are throwing money at the situation, but I imagine that is not an option for you. What we have done to defray costs is to put money into a child care flexible spending account.

I really hope you can find more assistance.

The problem was not finding someone to watch the kid...Liz was all set to watch him. I just went out of my way to avoid it just cause I didn't want to impose.

This is SERIOUSLY the biggest lesson when one has a kid - how to let go and be okay with "imposing", or perhaps more accurately, learning to trust people when they say its NOT an imposition...

I'm sure there's some group or someone's asked this same question on the interwebs somewhere. See how other people have done it.

That being said, I know I'm a but out of your way, but since I'm looking for work, I'm home most days and I'd be happy to watch him.

If I have any auditions down that a way, I will totally drop him off. :)

Sorry that we don't live closer. For the most part people get all happy getting to have a babysitting opportunity. Today I couldn't cover my usual shift for another friends 11 month old because of the plumbers. I'm sure it is difficult to rely on friends but suck it up and SHARE THE NINJA!!!!

he is a super fun baby and people like to spend time with him.
Don't feel bad about taking people up on their offers to hang out with him.

it makes things easier in the long run.

Like if you ever need me to pick him up after I get off work I am always happy to do so. :)
