The sad part is, I'm still not done. But this is part three of the Insane Vid Recs Project (no, I did not pick January for this just because of all the Insane January Vidding Projects going around; it's just a happy, crazy coincidence). Feel free to truck on back to parts
two and
one. You will particularly want to read the explanation of why you

Oh, that scene? The one where Methos shoots Duncan in order to keep Duncan away from a guy Methos is pretty sure Duncan wants to be killed by, and then goes off to kill the guy himself while Duncan's out? That one?
...yeah, I'm pretty sure your instincts are on the mark, there. *g*

Anyways, just FYI, Disappearing Man is by Melina and Jo <(lj user=feochadn>), who is also my frequent vidding partner in crime.
Oh, and the effect in Tumbling Dice you mentioned is called a wipe. There are a number of different types, and they can push one fame out of the screen like this one and bring in the next clip, or you can also make it wipe from one clip to the next by going up or down the screen. You've seen them if you've seen the original Star Wars movies; Lucas kind of revitalized an old-fashioned effect that wasn't used as often in drama anymore at that time.

Arg. I'm so sorry about that; I have no idea what's up with my fannish email account. It's gmail, so you would think it would be reasonably reliable (and I definitely haven't filled up my space), but you would be wrong. Lots of people are getting intermittent bounces from my address, and I don't know why. I'm right on the verge of emailing google tech support, even though that never fails to be totally and completely useless.

A wipe! I knew there had to be a name for it!

Anyways, just FYI, Disappearing Man is ( ... )

This series only has one more post to go (and, yeah - when I started this, I did not suspect I'd end up needing four posts of four fandoms each, and I'm still all blinky and shocked), but after that I'm, hmmm. I'm trying to decide how I want to do vid recs in future. But vid recs there will be. Apart from anything, I get a lot more out of vids when I watch them with an eye to eventual recommending.
*plans poll on the future vid recs of TFV, because every LJ decision is made better by a poll*
