Thank you! Glad you enjoyed :) I'm especially glad you liked Holmes, since I don't think I got his voice quite right in this - of course, he was dealing with emotional matters, which is always more difficult for him. Poor awkward Holmes XD

Oh, my goodness. I don't even have words to describe how utterly haunting and evocative this is. And Watson, poor Watson, who sees everything with a writer's eye even if he doesn't know what to do with what he sees at first. Of course he would have dreams like that, so vivid and haunting.

Holmes is fantastic and true to the character, and Murray is a lovely touch.

Thank you! I'm really glad you liked it! You actually touched on a few things I'm interested in exploring further in this comment, the main one being Watson as a writer. He is a doctor by trade, but it's so clear in the stories that he's such a writer. I'm glad you picked up on the connection between his dreams and his imagination, it's something I've been very aware of in his personality and I expect there's a story in there somewhere :)

I'm really glad you liked Holmes; I'm not sure I got him quite right here :-\ And Murray, I think, will have a story of his very own someday. I'd meant for him to just be a bit part in this, but when I started writing for him he was so clearly a fully formed character, and he just started telling me about himself. I want to know what it was that he was running from. (So much to write, so little time :D) Thanks again!

Thank you! So glad you enjoyed :) Really glad you liked both Holmes and Murray; I'm not sure that I got Holmes' voice exactly right here (but he was trying to understand emotions, which is always hard ;) and Murray, I think, is a larger character than I gave him time for. We may see more of him :)
