I just watched the new Sherlock Holmes movie trailer for the watsons_woes prompt.  I have to say, even though I still object strongly to RDJ, the whole Irene Alder thing, etc, I just love Jude Law's Watson.  He's the one bright spot that I can see, and I fully intend to see the movie just to see his Watson, because he seems to be doing a wonderful job.

The most memorable thing that's happened to me was riding the train in London with a copy of Hogfather by Terry Pratchett in my lap, and having another Pratchett fan sit next to me.  We had about a twenty minute rant session about how much we loved the books--he'd never read Hogfather, but he'd been looking for another book to read and decided that ( Read more... )
