Today was gorgeous. I went out for a short run (shorter than usual - about 25 minutes) a little before 7, and the weather was just amazing. It was cool, the humidity was low, and it really made me feel like fall. I go back to school a week from today

What kind of an interface would that solution use? Like, how would the video go from A to B. Do you think it might be possible to just SSH into my box and watch the TV? That would probably be laggy - it has to be buffered a lot. Another variable is I have to have drivers for my video capture card (I have a card I'm not using).
Any good hints on where to start?

I'm not sure if the USB tuners do something different or not, so it's hard to say.
I'd heartily recommend the Hauppauge line of tuner cards if you end up going that route, though - they tend to have excellent linux support and other goodies as well.

I have a Hauppage card in the Windows XP Pro box downstairs. Do we think there's any way I could use that as my host machine? Am I asking the Windows question to the wrong crowd?

Also, don't you find it hard to take Matthew Perry seriously? He was such a goofy character on Friends that I can't imagine him in a real role. Haven't seen the movie though, so I guess I shouldn't comment.
