Today was gorgeous. I went out for a short run (shorter than usual - about 25 minutes) a little before 7, and the weather was just amazing. It was cool, the humidity was low, and it really made me feel like fall. I go back to school a week from today.

It was great to see friends tonight. The normal football watching cronies were all in town and came over to watch the preseason Redskins game tonight. I still have to figure out how I'm going to see the normal-time regular season games. Maybe I'll actually pull off streaming the local TV station from home over the internet to my computer at school. That's something to look into this week.

I'm watching a pretty inspirational movie right now (based on a true story) called The Ron Clark Story about a teacher who goes to Harlem and turns around the lives of his students. It...really makes me want to do something like that to make a difference but I don't know if I can. I don't think I could do what this guy did, but I don't think many people could.

A few of you (former TJ Crew) people may be interested in this facebook group. If you can't see it, comment and I'll explain.
