Thanks so much. Ireland was amazing. I didn't have the world's greatest camera in Rome, but a few shots came out nicely. And FWIW, I didn't pay for either of those trips... Mom likes to travel. ;)
(from 100_snapshots ^^). I think the alligator and babies is the best photo out of them, good composition and lower contrast than the rest ^_^ I just happened to pick the one that's not in the poll.
I wasn't sure if you were looking for critique at all, but if you want some constructive critique, I could tell you what I think.
Good to hear ^_^ I think everyone can learn from everyone else if they'd only ask. Don't take my words as gospel, I'm not a professional photographer, but the recurring problem that I'm seeing with your photos is that they're too contrasty. It seems like many of them were shot mid-day in bright sunlight (which I understand, that's my favorite time to go outside and subsequently my favorite time to photograph), however, your camera can't compensate for that much variation in light and you end up with dark subjects and a washed out sky or background

The cliffs of Moher picture freaked me out because the exact picture, from that exact angle, is on my fridge, except that mine has my mom's friend's family superimposed on it.
I've seen it myself at our zoo (and once in the wild). At the zoo, they were in an outdoor 'natural' area, so I know they weren't staged. They just *do* that. :-)
