Wow, you really didn't like the special that much? :-/
I'm annoyed with the whole 'you're staling me, no you're stalking me' thing. Are they afraid we're going to walk away and think they're actually gay or something?
Dear, you took that entirely too literally. *g* It was an act. Paul and David had been teasing each other for weeks about it, but both have done interviews saying how much fun they had doing the shot, and how cool they thought it was. Paul really did send David flowers and chocolate. =)
Sam's going back to Super Soldier Sam, eh? That whole unresolved sexual whateverthefuck didn't work out so well for your ratings, eh?
I shudder at the thought.
I was amused at Shanks whole "tell someone to slap you if you decide to do SciFi." Yes, Mikey, because you didn't come crawling back to scifi when the movie deals failed to come rolling in. Er... yeah.
I've seen Tricia tell that story on T.V. before - about buying cat litter and the guy running out of the store - seriously, guys like that give SF fans bad names.I think it's

Okay, so I read this before I went to work this morning and I've been thinking about it all morning.

Hm... I think my problem is this: I'm so used to the three shows being so well written, that I'm not used to inane prattle coming out of the actors' mouths. Now, I know the difference between the actor and the character, but I've just gotten used to everyone being pithy and clever that I'm annoyed when they aren't.

I haven't been reading many interviews because I'm so BSG spoiler-phobic, and to a lesser degree SG-1 spolier-phobic, so the first time I heard of the kiss was in your LJ post yesterday. And all I knew was what you posted. It *really* would

I think I can understand that. I, however, was looking forward to seeing everyone act like dorks. Probably why I was happy with the show. *G*

And all I knew was what you posted. It *really* would have helped if some of the fun/joking/coolness had been explained/portrayed in the interview bit. For those who didn't know it came off kind of harsh. But, but... the bit with Paul running into the women's room should have been the giveaway! Seriously, they're definitely cool with it. Paul has said it was

The one dude mentioned that it's good to bring in SciFi people; that the fans will 'accept' the new character better if it's a familiar face. Eh... I'm not sure about that.
Yeah, me neither. As much as I love seeing Ben and Claudia together again onscreen, I think it's too much of a Farscape!invasion and overlapping audiences will have a rough time accepting the new characters as part of the Stargate universe. Not so much with Vala, I think; she seems quite different from Aeryn. But a generally good-natured, mildly sarcastic, highly skilled USAF pilot? Yeah, not so much.
Okay, the email segment was disappointing. Every one of them, the answer came down to "It's a t.v. show, putz, get over yourself." At least be clever.
Agreed. But then again, they're actors, and generally not so internet-savvy as writers, techies, etc. Even if they do do sci-fi (and assuming they write their own lines.)
