What is *wrong* with me today?

Not only did I make passable oatmeal, and eat it... I have made guacamole from scratch. I mean, I took the golf ball out of the avacados myself and everything. I don't 'do' onions, so I left them out, but I'm now starting to realize that they may have a place in guac, but what I've got is totally nom-able. And I am nomming it. I make my guac without onion as well. I substitute onion powder.

"To taste" does take a while to learn, but at least you're trying and learning your taste! YAY!

I'm still afraid of making homemade guac, mostly because I don't want to acknowledge the existence of avocado in it. I really don't like avocado. I'll just pretend it's some sort of unpronounceable foreign thing when I eat guac.

Nooom. I never do onions in guac, but it can be tasty. Another tip: If you sprinkle the avocado immediately with lemon juice (just squeeze a couple wedges on) you can prevent the guac from browning. My cheapo fast guac recipe is avocado + lemon + a couple spoonfuls of my favorite salsa. :)
