Not only did I make passable oatmeal, and eat it... I have made guacamole from scratch. I mean, I took the golf ball out of the avacados myself and everything. I don't 'do' onions, so I left them out, but I'm now starting to realize that they may have a place in guac, but what I've got is totally nom-able. And I am nomming it. Another half a serrano pepper in this size batch may be okay too. Or maybe just another quarter. "To taste" is one of those things that takes me half a dozen attempts to figure out.
