Ooh, I just watched Temple Grandin the other day, and it was great! I didn't know it was a TV movie.

Huh, I hadn't even heard of The Big C, but I really like Laura Linney, so perhaps I should check that out!

Well, HBO TV movie, of course :D

Big C is great and already renewed for a second season, it was Showtimes' highest rated series premiere in six or seven years.

I'm pretty sure Laura Linney has this year's Emmy already in her bag.

Temple Grandin! My absolute favorite Claire Danes performance of all time. She plays being so awkward and quirky in the most perfectly genuine and non gimmick-ridden way.

Having watched breathed My So-Called Life as a teenager, I will always defend Claire Danes. I'm just happy she finally played a role everything can agree on.

Ok, let me start cracking :) Why on Earth do you hate Sean from The Big C? He's so great.

After your HIMYM praise, maybe I should have it back. I totally gave up on it early last season.

How come the disappointment with Being Human? Its one of my favourite shows nowadays. I'm curious about the letdown.

This reminds me I should watch Temple Grandin ASAP.

I only watch *two* (Chuck and The Big C -- Laura Linney is the best) of your top 10 shows of the year. I'm tempted to take on Misfits 'though. I've heard the nicest things from the nicest people (yourself included "spontaneous" kiss-ass moment). And I've watched *none* of your 10 favourite epis :(

I watched more than 700 episodes this year

Wow! That's some serious commitment, dude :D

That's just two episodes a day. Or 35 seasons a year. Not that hard.

Watch Misfits. Definitely. Great show.

I loved Being Human's first season, but the second let me down. Too depressing and the storylines just didn't seem that interesting to me. Especially the vampire business got on my last nerve.

Sean is just not a believable character for me. The others are pretty much well-rounded and three-dimensional, and then Sean always come along like the wacky one-note sitcom neighbour and starts eating trash. I don't buy him. (By the way - Sean's actor? Also openly gay *g*)

35 seasons a year is definitely a lot in my book :)

Each day I find it harder to resist. Is it a solid show? I mean, is it under risk of premature cancellation? I hate when that happens, and that is the main reason why I ponder so much upon taking or not new shows these days.

Yeah, it was pretty depressing. The last episode had me in tears. But that is not much of a problem to me. I kinda dig depressing *lol* The vampire business I have to agree, it wasn't one of the season's highlights (to put it kindly).

But he's so damn hilarious! I kinda turn a blind eye to his shortcomings. (By the way - Sean's actor? Also openly gay *g*) SHUT THE FRONT DOOR! I had absolutely no clue. Ok, from now on you are my go-to-guy to the "is he?" or "isn't he?" questions on actors :D

Misfits is totally safe. The first season had stellar ratings, won a BAFTA as Best Drama Series and then the ratings even went up in Season 2. And it's not that big a commitment, you only have to watch 13 episodes to catch up. You can read more recommendating thoughts from me here: http://thefabone.livejournal.com/330282.html (pretty much spoiler-free beyond the basic premise).

As for Sean's actor, I was surprised, too, when I read about it a few weeks ago.
