Very nice list. I am behind by a couple of seasons on How I Met Your Mother, but I will try to catch up soon. This also makes me want to check out a few other shows - Skins (that first scene was horrifying), Community, Parks & Recreation. I'm also intrigued by Tower Prep. Is it a supernatural show?

And I ADORED the Temple Grandin movie. Didn't know it was HBO. Cool!

Temple Grandin was so good!

Tower Prep is about teenagers with supernatural abilities trying to break out of a mysterious boarding school they all woke up in someday. It's like The Prisoner set at the X-Men school.

@True Blood/Sam

His storyline was horrible. And I thought it made no sense. Honestly, I'm not sure whose storyline was worse: His or Taras.

Worst scene of the year: Bill's twisted sex scene with Lorena

I wish I could unsee that... *shudder*

WORST SHOW OF THE YEAR

Glee

lol

09. Miranda - Just Act Normal
One setting, three characters, real-time. I'm a sucker for bottle episodes in traditional sitcoms and this one was exemplary.

in my opinion the best episode of the show so far.

I didn't even know you're still watching True Blood, you haven't mentioned it since Season 1! But then, yeah, what's to talk about? Tara gets one point for throwing Bill out of the van into the sunlight. Her constant being victimized was awful, but Sam's sudden retcon gave him the edge in this category.

Yes, "Just Act Normal" is Miranda's best episode so far. "Holiday" would be my second favourite.

Oh, I haven't even seen one of your Top10-episodes :O
Guess I'll start with the Psych-ep, It's every fanboy's dream come true. just sounds too promising, even if I agree with your general opinion about the show.

If you like Twin Peaks, you should definitely watch that episode. That Psych-guy is still annoying in it, but the rest is pure fanservice.

Also, you owe it to yourself to watch Community's "Modern Warfare"-episode. No previous knowledge necessary.

I really need to watch Temple Grandin before sunday...

pretty great list. but that is expected, so yeah. ;) anyway, you really do love tower prep eh? I really loved the final, it had some kinda boring episodes in the middle I thought, but overall I really do like it too!!!

so with you on the Bohemian Rhapsody scene - it was brilliant. oh and about Dream On: I think that is what makes you dislike the show so much, the fact that they could be brilliant. if they wanted too. (but yeah like I said, Kurt has some great story lines. sad thing, he is the only one)

oh and a big YAY for Misfits - love the show. it's just really brilliant. great story and I think the cinematography is the prettiest I've ever seen in a tv show.

Misfits has great modern camera work though I wouldn't say it's really the prettiest on TV, the distinctive look with the close-ups is just a damn good way to mask how comparatively cheap the production is. I'd even say there are about five spectacular shots in every episode and the rest looks rather mundane.

Of course it's always disappointing if a show doesn't try harder, but no, I hated Glee before I even watched "Dream On" or the birthing scene. It's just badly written TV and I wouldn't even say that Kurt has good storyline (maybe now in the second season that I don't watch, but there sure weren't any good ones in Season 1, maybe some good single scenes, but not storylines).

Tower Prep got better and better and though I think the finale was one of the weaker episodes, I just loved how tightly written the whole season seemed, even though the single episodes had different themes. I wish more genre TV would flow that well.

actually, I haven't thought about it that way. with the camera work I mean. I am just too impressed with all the pretty... and really if it's clever way to cover the cheap production then very damn well done. XD

well, he has some working storyline in the second season... but the others are pretty much the same. and as much as I love the show, it does bug me that they can't even get their continuity right.

I really liked the final... I really hope they'll get a second season, cause I wanna know what's behind the whole thing.

Just look at Misfit's outdoor scenes - there are never any people in them cause they don't have the money for extras (it's easier to shoot the indoor party scenes cause you don't have any restrictions regarding your production schedule). Even in the Season 1-finale with the crazy virgin girl and her followers, there were only about 20 people involved. They got more money for the second series, that's obvious, but still 80% of the scenes are just the people needed in always the same three locations. And yet the show looks slick and is never boring, that's quite impressive.

The Tower Prep finale is okay storywise, I just wish there weren't four (!) fight scenes in it.
