This whole getting my ass in gear thing is kind of awesome, and I'm gonna kind of blog about this as I go forth this next month...kind of a motivator to myself to make sure that I'm consistently pushing myself. I'm gonna be the bug up my own ass. Which is a very strange metaphor visually.
Last night I went skating and the first half was just AWFUL.

I didn't actually go spinning this morning, and I did feel like a bit of a failure.
I have, however, gone skating the past three nights. I kind of feel awesome about it. I can feel myself getting stronger, and I realized the other things that I do need to work on in order to be a better skater which you just pretty much confirmed, that I need to switch out skating with gym time. I was doing my one knee slides tonight and my immediate thought was "Lunges and squats. Lots o those."
I think instead of the insanity of 10 hours of skating (which I wouldn't clearly do the entire time span....that's just... crazy.) I'll just hit up the gym. I adore swimming and I think that I could easily do that and have fun splashing around and working on core strength.
I do fully intend on making one of my weeknights sacred too. It may be Wednesday for me. :)
