okay random poll question again!

WHAT IS THE BEST ADVICE YOU HAVE EVER GIVEN (or received) AND WHY?

last may (2003) one of my good friends graduated from HS and was headed off to college and i was so sad, like one night i walked into my family room and saw a picture of her and i and just broke down into tears. i had NO idea how i was going to fare the next year (this past may 04) when like 3/4 of my friends graduated and i wouldn't be going with them ( ... )

hey...saw your journal from regardez...and i read this so, as you said, i should answer it. my dad drilled into our heads this:
"Don't drink, don't smoke, don't steal, don't do drugs, and when you drive, watch out for the crossroads, people are crazy..."
i really liked that. it is so sincere and a bit overprotective. just like my dad. :)

not quite sure who said this and to lazy to look it up. It may be a little difficult to do... but its a quote thats stuck with me even when I dont follow it.
