Fuel for thought

New technique creates cheap, abundant hydrogen: report - Yahoo! News: deprivation  showed me this this morning.  It seems like something that catstab would post.

My hesitation with hydrogen as a fuel is distribution.  But knowing that hydgrogenated oils not only clog your arteries, but potentially give liquid fuels a boost may be a good solution.

There's a lot of theoretically cool stuff in the pipeline... I'm going to believe it when one of them goes into production.

Has anyone done a study of the potential chemical energy stored in leftover biomass? I'm wondering how much of our energy needs we can meet without cultivating more land.
