Chapter 4:

Ryosuke awoke first from the rest (the morning person that he is) to the morning sunlight seeping through the windows, a smile, for a particular reason, etched on his face. Why wouldn’t he be smiling? He just shared the night with Chinen. Though the girl was emerged in tears (which he would ask for the reason of such later), he was there to comfort her and she allowed him to. Not to mention the hasty kiss he was able steal from Chinen.

He blinked a couple of times before he completely opened his eyes, his gaze averting to the girl encapsulated in his arms. She was smiling too, lips slightly apart, her hair splayed across the fluffy pillows. It was a heavenly sight, really. Her, peaceful figure bathed in the light rays of the sun. She literally looked like an angel. Yet somehow, Ryosuke couldn’t help but pay his attention to those lips; slim, pinkish, tempting him to do further at such close proximity. He shook his head lightly and did his best to look away, but it did not help as he witnessed his hands nestling against her bare back as her pajama top twisted to her belly, the milky white skin of her abdomen exposed. He immediately gulped, cheeks immediately flushing and hands starting to quiver. That was not all, a leg of his was entangled with hers, her arms hugging him back. It was all too much for Yamada Ryosuke to handle. He was still a boy. A teenage boy who just recently got out of puberty. ASDFGHJKL;

He carefully broke away and sat up, fingers fidgeting. He decided to head out, only to trip on Daiki’s leg, effectively making him fall down on Daiki and Keito.

“Oww, yama-chan!” Keito groaned and sat up as he scratched his head, Daiki following.

“Too excited for your date with Chii today?” Daiki teased.

“N-no-“

“Ohayou minna,” Chinen greeted them with a smile as she seems to have been woken up by the loud thud, she stretched her arms and yawned, being as cute as ever. Ryosuke had to look away.

“Hey Chii, Ryosuke’s just about to go out to prepare for your date today,” Keito teased, nudging Ryosuke with his elbow.

Chinen looked down as her cheeks flushed, “D-date..?”

“Yes, so here’s what you have to do. You have to go and have a real date in the amusement park and give us pictures as proof.”

Ryosuke pretentiously scoffed though in the inside he was shouting in joy, “And if we don’t?”

Daiki smirked, “we’d show everyone these,” he flashed a picture of sleeping Ryosuke and Chii both cuddled up against each other.

“H-h-how-“

“I woke up during midnight as I needed to go to the toilet and saw this hot sight. Wooot!” Keito grinned as Daiki cheered.

“You guys…” Chinen and Yamada both said in unison, looking away from each other as their cheeks reddened.

“Well, what are you guys waiting for?”
---

It was 11 o’clock noon when Ryosuke stood outside the amusement park. He gazed from left to right, hands in his pockets to hide his slightly shaking hands out of nervousness, looking for Chinen. The boy was looking dashing from his usual fashionable get up, a different sparkle surrounding him. He made sure he dressed up looking drop-dead-gorgeous, without trying too hard.

“Ryosuke,” He heard his name being called and so he turned around to the source of the sound, only to feel his heart beating fast in its cage.

Chinen was there, dressed in a flow-y white sun dress that fell just above her knees, her hair that reached below her shoulders where loosely curled at the end with a yellow ribbon adorning her locks. And what completed her look was a genuine smile. It made Ryosuke’s heart throb even more as he imagined being the reason behind that smile.

“Have you been waiting long?” she asked as she tilted her head unconsciously.

He shook his head instead of talking, worried that words might come out wrong.

They proceeded to the amusement park.

The first thing that greeted them as they got inside was the souvenir shop. Delighted, Chinen dragged Ryosuke in and the other just followed, his insides screaming as she linked his arm with his.

“Bunny ears!” Chinen cheered, taking the white one and placed it on top of Ryosuke’s head, “it suits you!”

Ryosuke pouted, taking a pink one, “But it would suit you more,” his lips tugged up into a smile when she looked up at him, the bunny ears perfectly matching her cute features, “Too cute, Chinen.” He gave her head a pat.

She puffed her cheeks and look down, “Let’s wear it together.”

---

We waited in-line for our turn. I really don't want to do this. But Ryosuke seemed to like to go very much. He's even so hyped up now, taking a glance at me every once in a while, showing the usual smile he makes everytime he's excited for something. I will do it for him. Yosh! After waiting for a few minutes, it was finally our turn!
We stepped inside the horror house. It was dark and only a stream of light guided our path. The atmosphere was scary and gave me the chills, slightly prickling my spine. We took a few steps forward and then poof~ a zombie appeared and frightened us. He really scared me so I just screamed my fear out. I hurriedly went behind Ryosuke and hugged him. I didn't know what to do, I panicked! Through my embrace, I felt his body slightly in fear but it soon calmed down. He then caressed my arms around his waist and suddenly faced me. He gave me an assuring hug. His words of "Don't worry, I'm here to protect you." caressed me. I just nodded, still hugging him. He then held my hand and we began to continue walking in the horror booth. Every time something scary shows up, our grip would tighten and "it's ok" are the words he'd immediately say afterwards. The horror booth sure was scary but for me, it lessened due to him. We reached the end of the attraction and so we headed to the nearest bench. We sat, noticing how we still clung unto each other, we removed our hands, blushing as we rested and puffed for air. A girl then approached us. She handed us a photo of my and Ryosuke inside the horror booth. It was one of those souvenir stuff. The picture was quite embarrassing, we were clinging to each other but I didn't mind. We said thanks, took a short look at it and kept it in my bag.
---
Ryosuke and Chinen were just strolling around, looking for the next ride to go into when he received a call from Daiki. Ryosuke excused himself to answer the call.
“Dai-chan? What’s up? YOU WHAT?! Oh fine. Okay . alright. I hate you. Goodbye.”
Chinen, confused, looked at Ryosuke, “What did Dai-chan say, Ryosuke?”
Ryosuke faced her, “Keito reserved us a table at the amusement park’s restaurant. We don’t have to go if-“
Chinen’s cheery smile stopped him, “Let’s go. It would totally be fine with me! Unless Ryosuke doesn’t want to?”
---
They both found themselves situated in a separate room, heart decorations and a candle-lit late lunch in front of them
“Daiki, that idiot,” Ryosuke stated under his breath, him blushing at the situation.
The two tried to lighten up the situation by sharing stories of their own and it was really getting fun when a waiter went in with a camera and approached them.
“Good day. Mr. Okamoto, the reserver requested a picture be taken of the both of you. Do any pose you’d like but may I suggest a kiss?”
“Ki-k-kiss-“ both stuttered, blushing.
They finally agreed and Ryosuke sat next to Chinen, as she was doing the infamous peace sign. When the waited started the countdown and it reached to 1, Ryosuke swiftly pulled Chinen by the shoulders, his cheek against hers, the photo being taken
“R-ryosuke…” Chinen trailed off, a hand placed on her cheek which touched Ryosuke’s.
He gazed at her genuinely with a small smile, “They were going to take a picture and s-sooo-“ The boy trailed lamely, rubbing his nape.
Chinen smiled at his cuteness.
---
When they were about to leave the amusement park, Ryosuke held onto her arm, halting her.
“Chinen, play a game with me.”
“A game?”
He nodded, “A game. Ride the rollercoaster with me and we shouldn’t make any noise. If each of one does, that person loses. And if I win, go on another date with me.”
Chinen reddened at his words, “Another d-date?”
---
Whenever Ryosuke wants something, he gets it and so they finished the ride with Chinen losing.
“I guess I win then,” He declares, a smile of victory etched in his face.
“Don’t get your hopes up, Yamada. I let you win on purpose!”
Ryosuke smirked, “So you wanted to go on another date with me to begin with, huh?”
Chinen blushed, being cornered. Just when she was about to utter something, an explosion from a far was heard, and they looked up to see fireworks in all sorts of colors.
“It’s pretty!” Chinen cheered, her eyes in crescent moons at the sight.
“It is,” Ryosuke replied. Though he wasn’t looking up the dazzling splendor of the fireworks. He was look straight at her, at her glowing features emphasized by the gleam of the fireworks.
It truly was a night to remember.
