Lip curling back as the first wave of nausea hit her, making the blood in her stomach feel like it was boiling, Rayne paused to shake her head in disgust at herself. Buck up, bitch. Nausea probably isn't the worst you're going to have to deal with here.

Shoulders rolling as she started walking forward again, her steel heels loudly clicking on the marble floors, the dhampir didn't seem too surprised when she came across Jack. Though, something about him nagged at the back of her head... Red hair grazing over one shoulder as her head tilted curiously, her lips part in a question. "And who are you?"

Hearing the sound of footsteps against the marble flooring, and then finally the sound of someone's voice made him fight back the feeling of dread and nausea that threatened to, for the first time in years, overtake him and cause him to lose his wits. The last time he actually had lost his cool, calm, and collected demeanor he had been on the verge of having all the work he had been doing for the past... God knows how many years, destroyed and having his soul count ticked right back to zero. That had been a rather awful time, though perhaps not as awful as his current situation could turn out to be ( ... )

Nostrils flaring as he answered, she gave a slow smirk after a moment, a hint of fangs showing through her lips. "Rayne." She answered with a purr. "And you smell like fear, Jack. What's got you in such a tizzy, hm?"

Walking around him to trail fingers along the wall, Rayne gave a dark chuckle. "And this place? This place... This place is a funhouse. There are all kinds of goodies here for me to play with, as long as no one tries to ruin my good time. As long as you can take care of yourself, there's no need to fear at all."

He flashed a rather fake smile at her words, but ignored the 'fear' part. That didn't deserve a reaction in his mind, or at the very least, he didn't entirely feel like providing a proper response dedicated to it. Besides, what would he say? This place feels like hell? I should know because I'm a frequent visitor of the place? Yeah, not the most intelligent thing to spout upon meeting a new person. Though, those fangs did hint at the possibility that she wouldn't find such a statement strange at all. Unless she was one of those sorts, those satanic-worshiping, plastic-fang wearing idiots that preyed for what they thought was the bliss of hell. She didn't seem it though.

His eyes followed her as she walked, and he resisted the urge to just turn tail and head out of the hallway to find a place a bit less unsettling. "Funhouse? Yeah. This place seems really....... fun." Fun like a glass shard sticking out of your retina, perhaps.
