Shinji heard the shuffle of footsteps, and, a boy's voice. He just... just wanted to be left alone. He had thought this place would be empty. He had thought...

M-maybe the kid could help him find a way out of here? He was... both of these people weren't those he could recognize. He hadn't even found Koizumi again, so maybe there was a way out of here. NERV wasn't a particularly good place to go back to, but really, it was all he had, and the only thing that even made him want to leave this place was the fear of staying too long. There were so many people, here. Crowded, it was too crowded.

"I'm..." He said, quietly. "Ikari Shinji." The battery symbol on his SDAT blinked, and he was looking at the ground, and it was an unfamiliar gray.

Fiona was happy to hear Shinji speak, his silence had been slightly worrisome. It was easy enough to assume him as being shy or just anti-social - she herself was the former - but still...Well, at least neither of these two seemed to be dangerous or injured, so that was a plus.

"Fiona Belli, it's a pleasure to meet you," she said aloud before glancing back to Simon, waiting to see if he would introduce himself as well.

Oh! So there was another person behind her, too? Simon stood cockeyed to look around Fiona through the door frame. He couldn't really see anything distinctive about Shinji, just that he was hunched over like he had stomach pains.

"I'm Simon the digger, from Giha" ,He shared his name, it was only polite.
His coat pocket gave a "wyeh!" in protest.
"Right, and this is Boota" ,Simon explained as he pulled the pigmole out and placed him on his shoulder. Boota gave an enormous grin (well, enormous for a pygmy pigmole), scratched a bit of the caked dirt off Simon's coat and took a seat in the recess he made.

"I think that means its nice to meet you..."

The Third Child fiddled with the cord of his headphones nervously. He kept them in his ears, even though there was no sound - he felt safer, this way. But, these people were just as weird as the others he had met. Simon? He had no second name, and he said he was a digger? That... Then Fiona Belli - there was no way that name was Japanese. Her Japanese was fine, though - so Fiona was her last name?

"Simon, F-Fiona..." He said, timidly. Shinji didn't want to talk, but if he stayed like this he would never find his way out, or even find his way back to the kitchen. He wanted to get out of here. "Have you seen Koizumi? Or a way out of this place?"

Noticing Simon's attempts at looking past her, Fiona pressed her back up against the door frame before carefully sidestepping in an attempt to keep from being too much of an obstruction. She smiled a little upon seeing Boota - the creature didn't look like anything she'd ever seen, but that didn't make it any less cute. She resisted the urge to reach out and pet it.

"He's adorable," she said, hoping the creature was indeed a he. It didn't seem right to simply refer to it as an 'it'. "It's nice to meet both of you, too."

She looked to Shinji as he addressed her, the poor boy seemed so timid. Not that she had any room to talk...but it encouraged her to keep calm, something she didn't do nearly as often as she should have. "Koizumi...?" Oh, right, the incredibly rude boy from the other day. "I haven't seen him since the other morning, although there was a note in the kitchen saying he's staying in one of the bedrooms around here. The second door down to the right from here, I think...? I haven't seen a way out, either."
