Though it wasn't quiet for long. There, to your left, is suddenly something small and blue that wasn't there before. After the silence and buzzing of the entire day, Sonic honestly thought he was going to go stir crazy! The most interesting thing that had happened to him after so long were a few monster encounters and the bugs bothering him. The heat, he had gotten used to after all the places that he'd been too (though the stifling quality of this house was definitely different from the other places Sonic had visited).
So when he catches wind of some clanging the likes of which reminded him of Eggman's robots running into a wall, of course he was going to investigate! Who knows, maybe it'd be something interesting.
"Whoa~ Definitely don't remember seeing someone like you round here, big guy!"
Yes, a small blue thing that was now tapping lightly on your armor. Fear? Sonic's dictionary has no such word.
Attracted by the loud sounds by the main entry, Hiroki stirred himself out of the haze he had been in for the last few days. Or was it weeks? Lately it seemed as if he were running on autopilot. Avoid beetles. Kill beetles. Survive. Eat. Sleep. Rinse and repeat. It was so strange to have a distraction. And yet, it was better than nothing.
He stood at the top of the staircase, staring at the...monster? It wasn't attacking the creature that was brazen enough to walk up to it. Yet, anyway. So he watched and waited, somewhat resigned to defending the little blue creature if something went wrong.
What was that!? Delta grabbed his rivet gun off of its makeshift holster. He pointed the weapon straight at the hedgehog and his opposing hand quickly jumped up in flames. An aggressive stance was taken until the blue thing spoke at him. He lowered his weapon, but his other hand remained alight.
He cringed and moved back when the other tapped on his armor. Sonic was getting a little too close for his comfort. A dull drone then escaped his chest, but ended on a high note, as if in a questioning tone. No, Sonic would get no words in reply. Delta couldn't speak. His vocal chords were horribly mauled in surgery, reducing his communications to growls and other feral noises.
He was perfectly capable of reading and understanding English though. He also could write with some difficulty, but had nothing to write on.
The reaction from the bot was enough to trigger Sonic's own reflex, thus putting a decent distance between himself and the bot... The bot that was on fire- why did Eggman never make guys this cool? Yea, there was Erazor's goons and the Underworld Demons and whatever Dark Gaia threw at him, but how many of them were actually on fire? It'd make Sonic's life harder, but man it would have been so much more interesting
( ... )
Wandering the halls was all he found himself occupying his time with. Sinclair barely understood this place and, after hearing of the monsters, he did his best to either stay in well lit areas or look for protection. It reminded him and searching Rapture when the splicers were busy sleeping or doing whatever the hell else the freaks did.
Sinclair found himself going to the Grand Room quite often. The fire was comforting for this otherwise creepy house. But his thoughts were quickly inturrupted by the loud noises coming from another room. There was talking too. He made his way over to the noises.
A familiar figure stood in the Grand Room. At first, Sinclair thought it was another Alpha but his eyes caught sight of the symbol on his hand. "Delta?" He asked. Sinclair turned his attention to Sonic and raised an eyebrow. Delta and a talking blue... thing with shoes. He closed his eyes, breathing for a moment. Was he hallucinating? The was one other person a bit further away. He was hoping he saw the same thing that Sinclair was seeing.
