Patchouli had the... what could be called fortitude to be passing by the room at the time. She was, of course, floating, which might have been startling to the other, but she scarcely cared right now. She floated just past the door, when she heard a noise at it. She couldn't tell what the noise was, but she thought she heard someone struggling with something. She quickly moved aside, in case someone was going to come out.

Of course, someone was about to leave, so she mentally applauded herself for being good at making only semi-educated guesses. "Excuse me," she said calmly when she noticed Cybersix exit the room. "I was just... passing and I heard a fair bit of noise. I was going to ask you if something was wrong, but I decided to get out of the way in case someone was coming out, then ask them when they did... if nobody came out, I'd ask them through the door afterward, mind you."

She paused for a second. "So, were you trying to hide from them, too?"

The response to seeing Patchouli floating in mid-air in front of her was immediate: She jumped from shock, made a little noise of surprise, then immediately brought her leg back and settled into a battle-ready position, fists in front of her... before she realized the girl was addressing her. "You were..." she spoke aloud, staring at Patchouli with bewilderment, not only due to not expecting her there but also because she was floating. No wonder she hadn't heard the girl outside... but how was she accomplishing this? She could levitate"Hold up, Data 7," the woman called to the panther, who was growling low in the doorway as his glowing eyes appraised Patchouli for danger. She turned back as the woman explained what she was doing there. Among the other strange things about her, Cybersix found herself curious by the way she spoke - seemingly switching from addressing her to moving into a planned-out hypothetical situation in her head. "You'd ask... me through the door," she confirmed with a brief stare at Patchouli, before continuing ( ... )

It had been a long time since chaos had deigned to prowl the halls, but Nina's bolstering words had done him a world of good. And so, with purpose back on his side, he was doing just that - prowling, looking for something to do, someone to help, or some manner of trouble to get into ( ... )

"Certainly, I have a name," she said. "My name is Patchouli. And yours? Regardless, it's a pleasure to meet you." She extended a hand gently. Gently. She made sure she was as gentle as possible, since she was aware that Cybersix was a bit freaked-out that Patchouli was levitating. Speaking of, she slowly began to touch the ground again. "I'm sorry, by the by, if I startled you with my little... floating. It just happens to be the easiest and quickest way for me to get around, and in a place like that, that's always important... as you probably know quite well by now."

The presence of a third person was quickly noticed by Patchouli... but mostly because she saw him. Patchouli had no idea who he was, but she hadn't met many, either. For now, she turned to watch him... he generally seemed a nonthreat, or at least not likely to become an outright threat. That was always a good thing. She was trying to have a conversation with the other woman, and so, being caught by an actual threat would not be a good thing at all. "Hello," she greeted

"My name is Cybersix. This is my... brother, Data 7." She gestured to the panther, not bothering to lie and say he was anything less - after all, how many things would faze a woman who felt it more convenient to casually float through a hallway? "It's nice to meet you, Patchouli... and I understand the need for convenience." She smiled gently, inwardly wondering how fast she could move if the rotting dogs came back. She and Data 7 had enough trouble taking on one; an entire pack would be an another thing entirely ( ... )

chaos' smile grew a little more friendly as he approached, nodding in greeting to the two ladies and the rather large feline. "Hello. I take it none of you are likely to try to kill me in the near future?" he asked, a trace of humor in his tone. This house had a way of making you cautious to approach anything that looked human, especially at night; you never knew what they really were ( ... )

"I... see." She smiled a little. It was odd, but there was a reasonable explanation in every such situation.

Her focus stayed on the newcomer now. "Certainly not," she responded, "I'm not about to hurt others here... unless they're monsters. In which case, well, I do appreciate a few pretty explosions once in a while~" She hoped that she wasn't about to scare off anyone, since she could be kind of creepy without realizing it.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, chaos," she spoke, turning about, "and likewise to you, Cybersix." She had a feeling about chaos, that he was incredibly powerful. She couldn't quite confirm it, but it was certainly a feeling she had.

"Perhaps we should stop just... standing around. Cybersix, were you going somewhere specific when you came outside?"
