Mio might have been able to hear footsteps echoing from the hallway--two sets, one stronger and louder, the other quieter and quicker. Rather than just passing by, however, they paused outside the door. A few quiet words passed between them, and the door swung open, framing Lilia with March not far behind her.

Understandably, the two were a bit startled to see Mio rummaging through Lilia's desk.
