Mio gave the study a quick look to ensure that it was empty before she slipped into it, a thin binder clasped against her chest. She didn't like to carry it with her, not when it was something that was so important to her and could so easily draw the attention of others, but ever since her earlier encounter with Donovan and later Allison she'd been wandering around with it in tow in case she ran into one of the ghosts. They had been brought back to life, after all, and however slim the possibility of them knowing anything might have been, she still thought it to be worth asking about the various notes that had been scattered throughout the house over time.
Her purpose for visiting the study was a little different, however. The note--the one that that they had found downstairs, that had come at such a high price--had said that to open the door they needed Lilia's brush. Lilia was a name she recognized, a ghost she knew all too well, who sometimes haunted the lonely little study. A ghost whom she had killed and once and even been killed by.
She shivered a little at the unpleasant memories, setting the binder down on the desk. After several moments hesitation the camera was placed upon it as well as she began searching on and around the desk, taking great care not to disturb anything too much. Mio couldn't help but feel bad about going through the objects in the room knowing that Lilia was probably roaming about the house right now. The house itself didn't belong to any one person, but this room was, always had been Lilia's space. Invading like she was disrespectful, if nothing more.
Mio looked around the room once more. By now her search for the remaining items on the list felt more like thievery than anything noble. Would Lilia be mad if she found someone rummaging through her things? Worried that might be the case, Mio wondered if perhaps she shouldn't give up on looking for the brush. After all, alive or dead, she didn't to upset any of the ghosts...
