Exasperated as she was, Marta might not have noticed the tiny, fluffy grey kitten napping in a sunny patch beneath a nearby coffee table. Winny's ears twitched as Marta took a seat, and she yawned and stretched, wide blue eyes taking in the ankles that had suddenly appeared. A person! She liked people! Maybe this one with the boots would play with her?

Wiggling excitedly, the kitten crouched down low and started to creep out from under her napping hiding spot, edging forward so she could find the perfect spot--and pounce!

In the meantime, quiet footsteps could be heard in the hallway while a certain, familiar voice grumbled to itself. "You'd think this fucking place was rich enough to spring for indoor-fucking-heating, seriously.... It wouldn't even cost half as much as stocking up on some of the shit they've got in the kitchen...."

It wasn't until Marta felt a sudden, added weight to her foot that Marta realized she wasn't alone in the room. She jumped a bit, alerted, before looking down to see what looked to be an adorable gray kitten. She couldn't help but laugh at bit, both at the fact that a kitten of all things had gotten the jump of her, and he fact that she'd been so startled by it. She was getting pretty paranoid. Her bad mood was instantly forgotten and she smiled brightly at the kitten. After all, how could she ever stay annoyed when something so cute was in front of her?

"Hey there, cutie~" She scooted a bit closer to the edge of the chair before leaning forward, one hand resting on her knee and extending to the other to pat the top of her head. "What're you doing in a place like this?"

She looked up as she heard the sound of footsteps and an all too familiar voice, complaining about something or another. She rolled her eyes and shook her head, although she seemed more amused than annoyed. Not that his complaining wasn't annoying, but, well, maybe ( ... )

Needless to say, Winny couldn't offer any sort of comprehensible answer; she simply mewed as she peeked up at the hand patting her head, one tiny forepaw curling over the top edge of Marta's boot for balance as the other rose to bat playfully at the girl's fingers. The kitten was small enough to easily remain seated atop Marta's foot, even as she grabbed at the girl's hand.

In the meantime, Hidan scoffed as he heard the obvious baiting, but magnanimously decided to stop and grace his roommate with his presence. He raised his own voice as well, smiling in amusement at the irony as he headed over to open the door and step inside. "He's complaining about being spoken about in the third person."

"Shall I do it more, then?" Marta asked, not bothering to look up as he entered the room. She laughed quietly at the kitten's attempts at batting at her hand. It was so small and cute and...ooh, she wished that she could keep it, but it probably already had an owner somewhere in the house. She wondered how Emil would feel about getting a pet, though? Maybe once they got married and started living together they could get an adorable kitten of their own. The next time she saw him about that the next time she saw him.

Either way, for now she seemed content to just play with the kitten that was currently positioned on her boot.

Winny seemed to be quite happy to be played with, letting go of Marta's boot to swipe more excitedly at her hand; the kitten managed to snag a finger between her paws, and tugged Marta's hand down, nipping at it energetically.

Hidan snorted at the question, rolling his eyes as he shut the door behind him and dialed up the heat a few more degrees. "Why bother when I'm right here?" He moved to take a seat on a nearby couch, unable to help but raise an eyebrow as he saw her, both at the outfit--it looked new, or at least like something he hadn't seen her wear before, and how did someone shop for clothes when they were trapped in a fucking haunted house?--and her current pastime. "Where the hell did you get a cat?"
