Over the past hour, chaos had been wandering the house in search of the Lanternkeeper or the phantasms, he wasn't sure which. He had been attacked by most of the monsters he had encountered, sent a few of them to their makers and simply avoided others, and continued on his way, his mind turning the questions and responses over again and again. Somewhere in there were the lady's final instructions, as well; find the envelopes and bring them to the grand room. He'd a feeling that wouldn't be easy, but then, nothing else in this place had been so far ( ... )

She heard another thump on the floor behind her, and she twisted her head over her shoulder to see who it was. The chin-length silver hair instantly reminded her of someone (Riku), and for a moment, she believed it was him. But as the boy regained his composure and revealed his dark complexion, she realized she was mistaken. It wasn't the first time, either. Not long after she had first entered the house, she'd thought Sasori and Itachi were her two friends from the Islands. The encounter hadn't been particularly settling. Good thing she hadn't said anything this time around ( ... )

The universe's reset switch nodded, checking his own sideways journey with a foot to the wall. "We have to get out of here or this hallway will beat us to death," he said calmly. "It may be best if we crawl." He'd see to her injuries when they were on stable ground again.

For a guy who was on his back/knees/side/whatever area happened to be on the floor at any given moment, chaos was remarkably calm. Almost as if he had been through something like this before - or perhaps something worse. Truth of the matter was, he had; the Cathedral Ship was one weird place, but it did wonders for one's balance - if they didn't puke too often. And chaos being who he was, well... "Wait for the next movement and then start moving."

feel free to control the hallway's movements too, of course. heartsawakening August 12 2009, 22:09:01 UTC
Kairi uncurled from her involuntary fetal position she had found herself making when she hit the side of the table and grabbed onto a leg with her hand to steady herself. Beat them to death? Ordinarily she wouldn't think anything would do that, but this was Acedia. She nodded slowly, pulling herself onto her forearms and knees in a crawling stance, biting the inside of her lower lip. Not deep enough to hurt - just to brace herself ( ... )

At one point in human history, an enterprising soul came up with the idea of an automatic clothes washing machine. In it, a large basin with paddles on the sides would rotate back and forth, and the gyrating action would serve roughly the same purpose as a person standing there with a paddle or a scrubbing board.

This hallway rather reminded chaos of such a machine. Now that they were both inside and trying to move, it began to move violently and in unpredictable directions, tossing them both around like rag dolls.

Eyes narrowing ever so slightly, chaos made up his mind. "Take my hand," he called out, extending his right hand to her. He had a way out of there, but he'd hoped not to have to use it...
