"I..um...thank you..." Mio said, voice lowering. She looked down to the floor, squirming a little as Patchouli went on. She didn't really want to stay, but found herself struggling to outright say it. It felt as though it would have come off as too dismissive, perhaps even impolite, and she didn't want to risk hurting the other girl's feelings. Besides, even feeling as frazzled as she did, staying for a couple more minutes couldn't hurt, right...?

"It's nice to meet you, Patchouli..." She shook her head. "No, I wasn't..."

"Likewise, Mio," she said, still floating beside her, a hand at rest on the girl's shoulder. She could tell she seemed a bit... off, but all the same, Patchouli was hoping that she was maintaining softness and an affectionate demeanor, as she truly wanted Mio to stay in the library with her... quite different from her normal behavior.

"Well... alright... I thought, if you wanted something, I'd try to find it for you..."

Mio continued to stare down at the floor, once again finding herself unsure how to respond to Patchouli, nor was she sure how to say that she wasn't comfortable with the girl's 'advances' without being offensive. "Ah, um...thank you..." She said once more, quietly, "But I...really should be going..." Her voice grew quieter still as she went on, and even more uncertain. It was certainly true enough, but even so it felt as though she was saying the wrong thing.
