Jonouchi, Sekai, anyone else? norainujanai June 14 2009, 23:32:28 UTC
Jonouchi had not fallen asleep on the grass. He was fairly sure he hadn't at any rate, which only made it stranger that he was waking up on it with the cloudy sky above. Had they found a way out of the house and simply dragged him along? How the hell had he even slept through something like that? There was no way for the duelist to know, but he sat up with a sudden jolt of energy.

The scene around him didn't do much for the confusion.

The house was nowhere to be seen, and all around he could make out the forms of people - everyone else, he could only assume. How the hell had they made it out? Where did the house go? And most importantly, what now? All important questions, but... all questions that could wait. Standing and stretching, the blond did something he hadn't done in months - he enjoyed the open air. The free air.

Well, as close to free air as he could get.

Yeah, Sekai was pretty much confused, too - she wasn't that far away, sitting on the ground, looking around in a daze. Actually, she'd been trying to sleep. And now she was suddenly outside, in the open air, in the middle of the night, pyjamas and all. Well, at least it was warm out - otherwise it'd suck a bit more. Not that this was that great...

Though the air was nice~

She looked around, and spotted Jonouchi a bit away - not that far - and smiled, climbing to her bare feet and calling to him as she moved in his direction. "Jonouchi!"

Jonouchi turned his head when he heard a familiar voice calling his name, mouth turning up in a grin. If he'd be stuck out there with a friend, it wouldn't be all bad. He didn't realize how stupid that thought was (where else would she have been?) because the moment he saw her, Jonouchi's mind went elsewhere. It wasn't his fault. What guy with a thing for the schoolgirl wouldn't have been distracted by her pink, low cut pajamas? He felt his cheeks warming up, and the blond nearly tripped over himself as he took a step or two towards the approaching girl.

So smooth.

"Sekai! Hey, it's great to see you!" He stood there with a smile and a wave, forcing his brain into action. It was just a little neck, what was the big deal?! "How's this for a change of pace, huh?"

Sekai paused for a moment as Jonouchi suddenly took a turn for the worse in his co-ordination. Blinking, she watched him, before grinning brightly; she thought she might know what was up there~ But no matter, at least for the time being - she moved closer, and waved herself as she approached. "Hey there~" she greeted cheerfully as she came close. She wanted to tease him a little, yes, but...admittedly she was pretty concerned by what was going on here. She tried to continue smiling anyway, and nodded her head. "Pretty different, huh?"

Zetta, House, anyone else? omega_drive June 15 2009, 02:01:31 UTC
Zetta didn't mind dangerous changes. Dangerous changes in the house he could handle just fine. He could usually decapitate most of them. This one, however, this one was just annoying. Where the hell had the house gone? Where was his room? The damn kitchen? Okay, so there were a bunch of other people wandering around confused, too, but that sure as hell didn't make him feel any better.

He'd have to sleep on the goddamn grass, wouldn't he? Tch... at least there didn't seem to be any ghosts or those invincible monsters around anywhere. Not yet.

Still... where was he going to get any food? There didn't seem to be anything that looked even remotely edible around here. ...Maybe he'd just sleep through this night or something.

House on the other hand did mind change. Especially when this house changed things. Now not only did it change, there was no house.

House had been sleeping. Note the tense. Had. Which meant that now he was not sleeping. Given the circumstances, it was almost impossible for him to be. People were talking. Loudly. The ground he was laying on, because it was indeed dirt and grass and not a bed was hard and cold and every time he moved every bone and muscle in his body yelled at him because what the HELL was he doing sleeping on the ground. IDIOT.

Carefully, oh so carefully, he sat up and pulled his leg up a little, wincing as he did so. Fuck. Had he actually been sleeping on the ground for a little bit? It sure as hell felt like it. He reached inside his coat pocket for his bottle of vicodin only to find that it was missing.

It was missing.

That was the only place he put it. That the only bottle he had....

"SHIT." He swore out loud, pounding a fist hard on the ground. He had left it next to his bed. His bed in his room. His room ( ... )

"Oh, really? Because I thought all of this was hilarious. Best damn camping trip I've ever been on," Zetta deadpanned, his arms crossed. He hardly noticed the man near him, really, but he had heard the voice and he really wasn't in the mood to be nice to other people. Not that he ever was to begin with (why the hell would he be?), but definitely not now. He didn't give a damn what other people thought.

Yeah, if the ground weren't, well, the ground he'd definitely be sleeping through this night. But like hell he was going to do something like that without a bed to sleep on.

House rolled his eyes as he pulled himself off the ground. Well wasn't just wonderful. The powers that be decided to grant him a gift! A gift of yet ANOTHER smartass to deal with. Those same powers that be had also decided that they were merciful enough to let him keep his cane. How sweet. This did make getting up off the ground easier than it would have been without the assistance of his cane, but that didn't make it hurt any less.

Wincing as he stood, a scoff tumbling from his lips. "Really? See, I always like it when there's a bonfire and a group of people singing Kumbaya. Sitting on the ground, roasting marshmallows, being one with nature, and all that jazz."

House turned to face the man he was talking to, an eyebrow quirking as he did so. Oh hell. Well there was no way he was going to be able to take anything this guy said seriously. No. Way. House was not often one to care about personal appearance, at least not his, but he was sure as hell quick to judge everyone else. This guy's hair was ridiculous. His clothes were even ( ... )

Anna, Anyone else who wants to talk to her! an_valerious June 15 2009, 02:07:37 UTC
Anna had just been walking around, trying to familiarize herself with the house after cleaning herself up and saying goodbye to Sekai. She had come upon a door that looked interesting so she had reached out to turn the knob then suddenly, there was no knob. Anna couldn't help but jump back and look around in complete shock. "What the Hell?" She wondered aloud ( ... )

Her shoulder felt so slight under his palm, but strong -- like the rest of her.

Madara knew without knowing, saw without seeing the strength that simmered under the surface, trained and focused. It was in her chakra, warrior-strong and resilient, ebbing and flowing in waves that had reached his shores before she'd run right into the wall of his chest (he could've avoided her, but caught her instead, framing her in with his hands). Through the hole cut in Tobi's mask, he drank her in, enjoying the sight of her; how the waxen moon made her skin almost luminescent, giving her an ethereal glow. He hadn't been aware that there were beautiful women in this place as well, so distracted by the monsters and the ghouls that roamed the halls, and the other inhabitants of the house -- some stranger than others.

"Careful," he said, the word delivered smooth and low.

Anna looked up at the source of the silken tone and was surprised to find herself looking at a mask. His hands though were a warm weight that she welcomed happily. She hadn't had any friendly physical contact in what seemed to be forever. "Thank you," She muttered as she raised one hand to touch the man's wrist gently.

"My name is Anna," She introduced herself and stepped back from him...he was making her dizzy. "Do you know what happened to the house?" Anna asked while trying to keep the strange shivers that had shot down her spine out of her voice. She was acting like a silly little girl, getting all flustered by the masked man! For all she knew he was some deranged crusader!

[ooc: it's okay. I've been looking forward to threading with you]

(Or a god fallen into legend.)

Madara could feel the tremors ripple through the smooth surface of her energy, could sense the warmth she gave off -- a heat that was not destructive like warfires, but indolent like the sun soaking into bare skin in July, when the humidity settled moist and damp and filled the lungs with the scent of summer grass and sweat. It had been a long time since he'd experienced that kind of warmth. The kind that sunk to the pit of his stomach and settled there hot and shivery and so very alive.

He had watched her mouth form words, liking the glints of teeth that briefly showed behind the fullness of lips that looked better parted than closed.

"I know as much as you do," he responded, not offering his name in introduction. "As much as anyone does."

Rayne! blood_n_leather June 15 2009, 02:15:15 UTC
There was a throbbing pain in near the back of her head as she came to, though it was quickly receding. Her healing ability... It definitely could be a treat instead of pain, depending on her injury. Giving a little groan as her eyes fluttered open, Rayne slowly sat up, reaching to feel the back of her head. Feeling the tackiness of drying blood on the back of her hair, she scowled. Lovely. But how ( ... )

White.

A little white dress, slightly faded from use but still a light, soft tone that stood out, given that it was currently laying on the much darker grass. Both it and the girl that wore it were pale, cold, thin, folded up in the grass, and unconscious, although for the dress that last was to be expected. For the girl, it would not last much longer -- though whether or not that was a good thing remained to be seen.

Namine stirred a little, the darkness behind her eyelids somewhat darker than it had been when she'd gone to sleep in the Daffodil room before nightfall. It also throbbed, she noted as her mind began to piece together jagged fragments of consciousness. In fact, most of her head throbbed. At first it was a dull ache, but it grew suddenly and exponentially sharper as the part of her mind that recognized pain began to function.

"Ouch!" she hissed out loud, because the part of her mind that processed things before they got to her mouth had not yet gotten the wake-up call. Her face scrunched, her body ( ... )

Rushing through the crowds as soon as she gained her bearings, Rayne ignored people she might have bumped into, skirting around groups of people, or just some that stood alone. The smell of fear and bewilderment was so thick that it almost made her nauseous, but she did her best to ignore it, focusing on looking for Namine instead. Alfons... She vaguely knew where Alfons was, being able to feel him, like he was connected to her by an invisible string that she could feel trying to pull her in the right direction. She ignored the feeling, however. With that thread, she could easily find him. With the emotions of others clogging up her senses, Namine would be harder to locate ( ... )

The girl's movements grew more and more agitated as her gaze sought through the crowd. Would calling Rayne's name help? ...But there were so many people. Would she be able to hear? Namine knew that her guardian's senses were very acute, but how acute? She'd never been able to test, she'd never thought to ask, she'd never... never imagined that something quite like this would happen. With a twist of masochistic disgust, she realized that she really should have thought of it. How stupid of her, to think that the house would always be there. That anything would always be there. She should have known --

She really needed to get her mind to shut up. But after spending so long with people that never seemed to, with people that enjoyed making fun of her and prodding her and treating her that way, she just... couldn't help it when her mind took their place.

But right now, she needed to find Rayne. She opened her mouth to shout, but her voice would not come. This crowd... these people. It was... the largest body of people ( ... )

Machi and... whoever. New people, perhaps. Raile is too shy for chat. D: machitobaye June 15 2009, 02:54:26 UTC
Machi was about as surprised as everyone else--but he was a lot less optimistic. The shock wore off quickly, leaving him standing up to his ankles in grass with the open night sky stretching out above him. But for Machi, there was no romanticism to sleeping under the stars, or stretching out on the cool grass--there was no appeal, no idealistic allure. Years of sleeping without shelter had worn its meagre charms thin, and wind and rain had eroded what little fantasy he might have held about it--he would rather have a bed, or at the very least a roof... or even a doorway ( ... )

And Machi can have a very, very pissed off Russel fletchersrock June 15 2009, 23:03:43 UTC
He'd been coming back to the greenhouse from the kitchen, bag stocked full of food when all of the sudden--

There had been nothing. It had been a stumble and then, the grass. And everything so-- It was chaos.

But more importantly, he'd lost his sense of direction. He needed to find Fletcher. He had to find his brother. It wasn't safe. He--

He turned, pulling on the back of Machi's shirt, dragging him away from the edge of the cliff. "You," he said clearly. "You're going to help me find my brother. Now."

In which case Russel may have a very, very angry Machi! machitobaye June 16 2009, 05:08:16 UTC
Machi didn't hear him approaching--or he heard it, but it was lost, a small fragment in the chaos of voices and movement behind him. It wasn't until Russel was a mere step or two behind him that he noticed, and at that point it was too late. The taller boy grabbed the back of his shirt and hauled him back and up, startling him badly and choking the pianist--and nearly causing him to pitch forward off of the ledge, the skin on the undersides of his knees and legs scraping against the stone. He twisted, planting one hand on solid ground and standing up quickly, his expression completely unreadable behind the black reflexive sunglasses. His actions, however, spoke for themselves--reacting purely on aborted panic, depletion, and sudden, defencive anger, he punched the younger blond right across the face.

Oh how wonderful! Another fight! This was just so entertaining!

Tobi watched with rapt attention, just at the edge of where the two boys were grappling! How very exciting! He let out a whoop and pumped up his fist with the celery stalk in the air, the knife still held in the other.

"Woo! Kick his ass!"
