Amelia comes to a sudden stop at the sound of her name, but doesn't turn around just yet. For all she knows, this is one of those weirdo kidnappers that the other boy warned her about. How else would he know her name?

[Amelia sees you staring, Mister. At least, she does after a minute or two. But when she does, she's going to give him a flat look. She's not intimidated because this guy is bigger and possibly looking to sell her into slavery!]

[Amelia's focused on getting to the bakery, so much so that she doesn't actually realize Nicholas is there until he speaks. She jumps, startled, then whips around to face him.]

[having finished her morning coffee, Jilly's sitting on a curb, sketchbook open in her lap. There's also an untouched pastry at her side, but she seems to have forgotten about it as she sketches]

[Even if she's about to die of starvation, Amelia will never, ever steal from another person. She knows all too well just what that's like, and the last thing she wants is to be a robber and make people suffer. So when she sees the lady with her untouched pastry, Amelia will watch for a few minutes before she ventures over.]

You shouldn't leave that there. Someone could take it. [It is a tasty looking baked good, after all.]

[when she glances up, she can't help looking a little surprised. Unlike Wolfwood, Amelia doesn't have a giant cross waiting to give away her identity...but seeing young children around was already unusual here...and seeing a girl who looked vaguely familiar instantly caught her attention.

The surprise, however, flickers away quickly enough, giving way to a smile]
