[Good afternoon, Luceti. There is a little girl currently on the move through your village, doing her best to avoid all people and/or things weird, strangers, and potentially dangerous. This by and large means everyone, as the young Amelia doesn't recognize anyone. She's been warned of kidnappers though, and that could mean anyone. The last ( Read more... )

[Like a certain someone who's good at recognizing people even after drastic age changes? Vash just might start choking on that donut he got from the bakery when he walks out and sees the reason WHY Amelia has gone missing.

Give him a second. Can't breath.]

[Amelia will give you more than that. She's too busy trying to be stealthy to give much mind to the random guy trying to die-by-donut over there.

Except that he's standing in her way, because Amelia is going into that bakery. Move, choking guy!]

[Moving! Then following you in as he finally clears his through.]

Amelia!?

[...Uh oh.

Amelia comes to a sudden stop at the sound of her name, but doesn't turn around just yet. For all she knows, this is one of those weirdo kidnappers that the other boy warned her about. How else would he know her name?

Slowly, she turns around and looks up at this very tall man.]

Who's asking?

[ Hmm, is that a lonely and maybe lost little girl sneaking around.. Madoka isn't quite sure whether she should speak up and let the girl know that she spotted her or not, but in the end her desire to help out wins over that. ]

U.. um, hello!

[Caught! Amelia stiffens in surprise at first, but then she decides to play it cool. If this person is a kidnapper, Amelia can kick her! She looks tiny enough.]

Hi.

Are you trying to look for something?

[ She still looks a bit awkward, but she tries to smile in an attempt to be helpful. ]

[Amelia nods slowly. She still doesn't trust the stranger! But she seems pretty harmless.]

Yeah. People said there's free food and clothes and stuff.

[That growling stomach doesn't escape Arumat's attention, meaning he'll just be turning his head to regard the girl with a raised eyebrow. There's something oddly familiar about her...]

[Amelia sees you staring, Mister. At least, she does after a minute or two. But when she does, she's going to give him a flat look. She's not intimidated because this guy is bigger and possibly looking to sell her into slavery!]

What?

You aren't going to be able to sneak around anyone with your stomach growling like that.

I know that.

[How dare you point out flaws in her logic, huh?]

That's why I'm getting food.

[Nicholas is just rummaging around through the shops-because when you're around free things, best take advantage of that-and spots his good ol' pal Amelia between visits. With a bag full of things and a back without a dumb cross for once.

He watches her for a moment before walking casually over.]

Hey. Figure some stuff out?

[Amelia's focused on getting to the bakery, so much so that she doesn't actually realize Nicholas is there until he speaks. She jumps, startled, then whips around to face him.]

Hey! Can't you warn people next time?

[Still, she's happy to see the other kid.]

Just where some places are. Is it always so cold here?

Sorry. [It's so half-hearted. |D] It's 'cause they're not a desert here. It's always warmer back home.

You need anything to get warmer?

[Yeah, somehow Amelia doesn't believe that apology.] Sayin' sorry doesn't do anything if you don't mean it.

Yeah, like a real thick coat or something. [Amelia points to the clothing store.] All that stuff's in there, right?

[having finished her morning coffee, Jilly's sitting on a curb, sketchbook open in her lap. There's also an untouched pastry at her side, but she seems to have forgotten about it as she sketches]

[Even if she's about to die of starvation, Amelia will never, ever steal from another person. She knows all too well just what that's like, and the last thing she wants is to be a robber and make people suffer. So when she sees the lady with her untouched pastry, Amelia will watch for a few minutes before she ventures over.]

You shouldn't leave that there. Someone could take it. [It is a tasty looking baked good, after all.]

[when she glances up, she can't help looking a little surprised. Unlike Wolfwood, Amelia doesn't have a giant cross waiting to give away her identity...but seeing young children around was already unusual here...and seeing a girl who looked vaguely familiar instantly caught her attention.

The surprise, however, flickers away quickly enough, giving way to a smile]

If someone did, they would probably need it more than I do.

No! [Amelia doesn't exactly mean to raise her voice, but this lady just said it'd be okay for someone to steal, and that isn't right.] Even if they were really hungry, it's still yours! Getting robbed is a bad thing, lady. It's scary, and it makes people suffer. You's shouldn't just say it's okay like that.
