[Amelia likes the Battledome for target practice, but since the adjustments the Malnosso made, she's found another purpose for it. It's taken her awhile to set up the scenario like she wants, but eventually Amelia figures out the controls enough to set up an expansive desert valley. The only thing visible other than the landscape is a yellow jeep ( Read more... )

[this was one area of Luceti that Jilly had never really had reason to visit. She'd come to see Archie when Bones had him at the clinic, but otherwise had never ventured into the Dome.

Today, however, she'd agreed to meet Amelia, so she came as promised. Wearing loose clothing, with her wild hair temporarily tamed and pulled back, she came in almost uncertainly as she looked for her friend]

[Amelia is just stepping out of the room when she notices Jilly wandering around. She smiles and waves to the other woman to get her attention, already looking like she's gone through a bit of a work out herself. She doesn't look any differently dressed than normal, however.]

Hey Jilly. You're early, aren't you?

[she laughed, giving her friend a fond smile] A little late, actually. I lost track of time.

Seems you've kept busy, though.

Oh. I guess I did too.

[Amelia nods, motion to the window in which the simulation can still be viewed behind her.]

Even if they messed up when they tried to make the changes, something good came out of it. Do you like to drive?

[You know, ever since that one experiment where he kid of went psychotic and tried to kill her, Livio has sort of been trying to avoid her and the awkwardness confrontation would bring. It's not "running away from your problems" when it has the best interest of everyone involved, right?

However he does train frequently, so unfortunately on this particular day he had a serious case of bad timing entering the battle dome.

How inconspicuous can a giant guy in a somewhat silly looking cowboy outfit possibly be? ]

[Answer? Not at all. Amelia spots Livio almost immediately when she leaves her room at the Dome. It's just too hard to forget the face of the man who tried to crush her skull. This time, however, the woman shows no traces of fear or uncertainty. No, Amelia's completely confident as she rests a hand on the rifle at her hip, and looks Livio dead in the eye.]

Back then, I was under the influence of an experiment. If you were too, then this is your one chance to convince me. Otherwise, don't expect me to get caught so easily this time.

[And he does in fact, hold his ground without even so much as a hint of intimidation by her display of courage. Nor is there any sort of animosity and malice that there was during the time of the experience. No, his eyes are filled with an immense amount of guilt.]

What happened before was from the experiment. Though, you don't have to trust my word. [because it would be understandable, after all he did.]

I'm sorry... for everything I had done.

[and it was only after he had gotten through with his apology that he broke off his eye contact. After all he is an honest person who is most certainly capable of looking people in the eye when he talks.]

[Amelia gives credit where it's due. This man is looking her straight in the eye, and he seems sincere--at least more so than most. It doesn't mean she trusts him, or is willing to turn her back on him. But it is a start, and Amelia drops her hand from the gun grip.]

You've met Vash. I'm not nearly as forgiving as he is. But he's not someone you can live with without picking up some bad habits from either.

[Translation: Amelia's not going to actively look to get at Livio for what he's done.]

Are you here to use the rooms? If you haven't done it before, I can talk you through the controls.

[Oh great. Amelia is having a perfectly good day until she hears that name echoing around the Dome. She scowls at Vash as she looks over, although the mention of lunch might soften that a little.]

Why do you keep calling me that?

[Only a little.]

Because it's cute and it suits you, don't you think?

No.

[Food, on the other hand? Suits her well. So says her stomach, which decides to let out a loud growl just then. Amelia puts a hand to her torso, then sighs; no doubt Vash heard that too.]

But since you went to the trouble--thanks for bringing lunch by.
