Michael Phelps was baying like he was an extra in Braveheart. Hee.

I kind of ridiculously love the Olympics too. Opening ceremony was incredibly shiny, and it was cool to see more of the city during the bike race. Also it was interesting to see the U.S. women's gymnastics team sort of fall apart tonight.

Yeah, it was crazy with the women's gymnastics, but they still managed to place second even as they were falling apart like that, which was pretty freaking ridiculous.

And the 6.5 hour bike race made me feel sorry for those people. Like, a lot.

I love randomly tuning in and watching tiny women do insane things with their stealth-muscles.

Gymnasts scare me like a lot. The weightlifters, at least, don't seem be trying to hide their badassery.

We (UK) won our first swimming gold in like 40 years! W00T! And in six years I shall love the olympics even more, as I live in London. Huzzah!

And I swear, they need David Tennant to light the torch in 2012, just for the inside-jokeyness. I DON'T CARE HOW MANY OLYMPIANS THEY SNUB IN ORDER TO DO IT.
